Poor try to make Dark Souls out of Silent Hill, with even worse lore about teenage girl's guilt trip about parents issues.

John Locke's comeback as a bald antagonist made the game. Atmospheric, dark and gloomy, too much red glow though. Didn't even think that decent UE5 games exist. The game captures Silent Hill's atmosphere well, got plenty of spooks during its short storyline. Mixed reviews are unfair, I guess most of the people won't tolerate the cruel absence of underaged Japanese schoolgirls, not like in the last game.

I genuinely liked the original game, it was like the final spark of the silver age of video games. Still, this game resembles with the 1st game only in the beginning, literally the first location you arrive at and that's it, after that the game slowly dies and even the main story line doesn't seems to be a bit interesting. So you just strive for 50 hours waiting for something to happen, hopelessly. Also, it's been a year since the release, still no info about 2 upcoming DLCs - that's good news.

To start with, I wasn't expecting THIS from Obsidian, seems like the old Obsidian is dead. Every location in the game is worse and less interesting than the previous one. It's like a Baldur's Gate from the 1st person perspective, even worse.

Worthy sequel to another masterpiece of Hideo Kojima. Though, it lacks the novelty of the first Death Stranding. Lore is pretty much obvious and predictable. Also I didn't find much spoilers about the future, like I did in 2019. Still, no bugs and perfect PC port.

Another piece of turd on UE5, souls games were good because of proprietary engine made by FromSoftware, otherwise the game becomes a glittery picture of an absolute static non-physical world. Because of it you hate every boss fight, you hate yourself and the fact the game even has difficulty level setting just for the sake of it.

Absolutely amazing. Optimization could be better, though (I get 50-60 FPS in 4K on 4090), completely remastered world and soundtracks, a joy to observe and investigate. The original game legacy wasn’t betrayed, all characters look just the same, enhanced.

Are those 96% for real? What's to like in this game? Some absolutely irritating and annoying NPCs, I don't even know who's the worst among them, plus infinite loading times, PLUS freezes and FPS drops on RTX 4090, even after all those massive patches, and the lore is as cliche as it could ever be in the worst cliche universe ever possible. Even Awoved is better with its 21st-century-like 3rd person view instead of a top view with dices and probabilities which make any fight with 3 half-dead gremlins take forever. 0/10

I haven't played the game as it meant to be on PS4, though I couldn't play it on PC at all, because it's dumb, dialogues are dumb, the gameplay is dumb, cranky unreal engine is dumb and it feels like Duke-Nukem-Forever-old.

Actually, I would recommend the game because of its extremely rare gloomy noir art déco atmosphere. Too bad that Pieces Interactive was closed shortly after the game was released. Maybe making another game on raw Unreal Engine 4 wasn't such a good idea, or maybe some euro video game journalist rats haven't been paid enough since the game completely lacks the new-age tolerant agenda. Even though some details, locations, and the jazz-inspired soundtrack left me with a warm memory of this game.
