played it a little, it's alright i guess

played it for a few hours, was ok

An amazing addition to the Yakuza franchise, although the jump to turn-based combat and a new protagonist was a bit of an unexpected one, the creativity with the class system keeps me entertained and Ichiban feels like a relatable goofball willing to help anyone out. The world is vast and rich with content and with the lack of loading screens when visiting most venues, the great visual story telling of the city, a wide range of activities and characters to interact with Yokohama feels amazing to explore to it's bones.

team fortress 2 has been a game that i've used as comfort food for a long time, but has lost the edge over the years of ever slowing down content. Wich is a reality all games will have to face, that on it's own doesn't outright make the game unrecommandable, as there is still plenty of fresh content being produced by the community in the form of custom game modes and the likes. What isn't excusable is the sheer number of bots taking advantage of the easy to exloit systems in team fortress 2, you have the vocal cheating bots that ruin match after match to the idle bots lurking in the shadows that have caused irrepairable damage to what was once a praised in game economy. The rabbit hole goes deep with this one, from stolen accounts to real life harrasment, it is not something that should be ignored.

However, even looking past the botting problem, there still is a problem. Team Fortress 2's onboarding for new players is straight up non existent, making the new player experience pretty bad. In the past the new players would be put into community servers that are a lot less competetive than the casual matchmaking we have today and allowed them to get familiar with the movement inside the game. Now, the new players will flock towards casual, which is has become the defact "competetive" (without actually being a competetive) gamemode where people will be a lot more serious about winning the objective. Even as someone who has a good amount of time under their belt, this is still a pain point as the matches you get in casual usually end up in either a landslide victory or a landslide defeat.

To me Team Fortress 2 was more about the social experience, and while i do enjoy myself a good match and like getting better at the game, a lot of tf2 communities have gone under and servers have shut down since meet your match, which has been like an extinction event. Where previously there were many populated community servers, a lot of the people on those servers just stopped playing on them without many new people coming to them again. As the casual match making has always been easier to interface compared to the community server browser.

I might be rambling on a bit too much and with a bit of nostalgia glasses, but to me team fortress just isn't what it used to be to me anymore, and that's fine. i do still revisit it to play on community servers, but no longer to the extend that i used to. casual matchmaking on the other hand has been a bunch of swings and misses, only really hitting during halloween.

All jokes aside, i feel like this is a great game.

it has great character design, fast paced gameplay, combo's, special moves, good music

the only things i could say it lacks in is story development, but does it really matter? i am not watching a movie, do i?

Do you like rythm games? do you like grinding? is there a sale?
if so, than this is a game for you!

can become a grindfest if you are unlucky enough
enemy sprites are reused
music is reused in different fights


personal opinion:
a really neat game, there isn't that much wrong with the game.

so, first of all:

step 1: dowload this
step 2: play
step 3 get the knife
step 4: uninstal
step 5: try to get your sanity back

let me begin with at the start, first you have to wait 1,5 hours to install, then you may wait another hour to update this garbage, after all that you may create an account on a service you most likely will never use again.

now that the set-up is behind our back, let's talk about the game. The first time playing you directly get to create your character and sadly they knew how to censor anything that sounds like F*ck, however S*it is not that well censored, but hey you need to be faster than the rest to get that username, did i mention yet that there is a 10 character limit so be creative.

now that that is over with, i ended myself in a tutorial and it was rather boring, the pase was off and it didn't feel right. it felt rather empty and lifeless, yes i know that it is the tutorial but atleast they could've made it with some more sense in mind. everything they learn you you could lear ten times as fast just doing a normal game since most of it has text with "press (button) to (action)".

before we go to the true game i want to share the following, the menu looks really messy and you find yourself easily lost. did i mention this game is P2W? well it is.

The there are diferent modes you can play like last man standing, where you scavenge the land, searching for items that help you survive, while trying not to die by the poison cloud that is creeping it's way to the centre, and the other main mode is domination, here it is team versus team, you try to plant C4 somewhere along the map, but before that either your team or the enemy team is dead while you are still on your way.

a fun game to try out, it is definitly challenging and you need to think your steps trough.
You can choose diferent ways to find yourway out of the prison. but be carefull, otherwise you will stay in jail a little longer. I can't wait to see what they are planning to do in the future to make this game more even more enjoyable.
I would recommend this game if you like a challenge.
