Been a long time fan of halo since 2006 and I am glad I have every game (sans 5) now on pc. While each game has had issues with input lag upon the first week out, it's quickly resolved and the devs are always looking to improve the game and take suggestions from the community. Recently they added input based matchmaking, which I consider a must with how strong aim assist and bullet magnetism are on controller.

Not every key binding can be changed (usually UI controlls) and the map in ODST is really weird to control, but otherwise you are free to change many bindings to your desire, including mouse buttons.

If you used to love halo and miss it, how have you not bought this yet? If you're new to halo, come give it a shot, it's a whole lot of fun.

This game might have released on April first, but it's free and if you have some friends, it's worth quite a bit of fun and laughs. 10/10 would punch my friend's head off again.

So real talk, at the time of writing this I have 953 hours from Steam and when it was previously on BattleNet and I may be addicted. I have been grinding since the beta came out in late 2017, this game has been my life and blood since 2017. With that said, let's get into it.

-Gunplay: Gunplay might just why many keep coming back to this game over and over, it works so well. Every weapon has weight, has feel, and actually sounds like they are doing something. Slow handcannons have a big bang, snipers have a solid pop, shotguns sounds like they hurt.

-Grinding: Well if you don't like to grind, this might not be the game for you, if you have never played this, there will be a ton of loot to grind for, both new and old, some plenty powerful, others average at best, however a good weapon roll can turn most if not all weapons into killing machines.

-Customization: I'm going to be brutally honest, your guardians face might be slightly ugly, you might get tired of it, and I warn you, choose your face very very carefully as you cannot change it and might become one with Shaxx as "The helmet stayed on." But once you get past your potentially hideous face, you have plenty of options for armor as literally every armor piece you can obtain is viable and ripe to be customized as you grow the pieces energy, improving it's capability to hold more powerful mods. There are also tons of shaders you can equip to each piece of armor individually. I honestly don't know how many shaders new players can obtain as some were exclusives to old seasons and events, but once you obtain a shader you can make more of it for such a low glimmer cost (glimmer is the in game currency from killing stuff) that it's essentially free. Your guardian can have so many looks in color alone.

-Replayability: Well, this changes from person to person, you might get addicted to the gunplay, maybe the grind, or even the pvp. For most people as long as you have the drive, there is always something to come back to, even I still have plenty to do this season. The 4 main stories other than the newest one can be replayed at any time, (only in order as a campaign though) there are many strikes to replay, now with intense modifiers upping the difficulty giving the game a hefty end-game. Honestly I'd like to say you'll know very quickly if you can play this game over and over or not, even two of my "not destiny fans" that I convinced to try this are having trouble putting it down, especially since it's so fun with friends. (Omg a raid with 5 friends is a great time.)

-Final Notes: I can't think of much else to say at this current moment and might update this in the future, but I will say you are going to have lots of downs and ups playing this, you will get salty, you will die, you will waste your super ability, you will get stomped on by bosses over and over, but that's okay, you can't have firework worthy highs without the controller throwing lows. (beware the Iron Banner gamemode in pvp) So why don't you give it a shot since it's free, you just might like it.

Feel free to comment to ask questions and such, I love the D2 community and want to see it grow. <3

I can only recommend this game if you either have a large play space, or a lot of money, because you will hit your walls. If you do not have either of those things, for the safety of your technology and walls, you should pass on this.
Any ways, it's a hella lot of fun and it is extremely immersive, you'll feel like a blood thirsty gladiator in no time!

Honestly, as long as you can exercise patience and can learn from your mistakes, or just want to blow stuff up, this is a really fun game to play and has never really stopped recieving updates. Has been in my library for about 2 years and I regret none of the hours I have played, well except for the few from when I fell asleep playing this till 3am.
