This game is amazing! AT first i was unsure what to do as the learning curve is a bit steep but very worth it.

I am editing this because they ended up adding everything that i had hoped for in my previous one! This game is amazing and unique. I recomend it for any type of gamer who likes FPS or RTS games. I would like to see a more scary alien faction and the ability to rebuild bases if you evacuate but even without those additions this game gets one of only 2 10/10's i have given to any game.

Its boring. LIS one was the best story driven game i've ever played. this might be the worst. I played chapter one but don't really want chapter 2. everything fun is gone.

This is, bar none, the greatest computer RPG ever made due to multiplayer. Servers are player run and unique what you do matters not only for you but for others because its a true dynamic and living world. This is true D&D seamlessly ported to PC.

Free and VERY fun! You will get a laugh out of this game!

This used to be my favorite game on steam. It was brilliant and the asymmetrical warfare and technological divergence created a truly stunning game that stood alone in quality. The 2.0 changes however removed everything that made this game something i loved. Divergent technology’s? Asymmetrical warfare? all are gone. Even the machine ship type has been removed from the game, which i paid extra for. I will not buy any more content for this nor will i downgrade it to the latest version.

This games flaws amount to laziness and greed. They wanted to make new content and ensure that it was relevant by force so they removed all techs that could allow a player to fight or evolve in unique ways that could undermine the importance of their new paid content.

I do not recommend this game to anyone and I am leery of recommending any paradox product if they are so willing to remove the content we paid for. Had the game been like this in the beginning I would not have bought it. However if you are a new player and feel I am exaggerating I suggest you roll back to the pre 2.0 version and see for yourself.

Addendum: I still play this game in the Pre-2.0 version A LOT. Its still good if you upgrade back to that. The ability to do so makes the game fun and playable again as a result i am changeing my review to positive with a catch. You must use the code "oldstellaris" to revert back to 1.9

Fun at first but gets boring once you realize that all you do is click to increce numbers.

This game brings me back to the year 1995 with the classic 16 bit games we all loved as kids. I wholly reccomend this game to all gamers who love the classic sidescroller. A+
