Starfield plays and feels very similar to Fallout 4 with added equipment modifier variety and alot more weapons and gear in general. Space gameplay is a game in its own right. While more Arcade than Simulator, it is not as deep as the E:D / Star Citizen experience. On the other hand the ship builder is a Behemoth of possibilites and options to unleash your imagination with.

The gunplay feels very smooth and there is a great deal of weapon variation and modification unlike No Man's Sky, which people love to compare to Starfield while completely disregarding its atrocious combat.

Planetary exploration and outpost building are neat little timesinks but no major focus of the game, although I still have yet to find one of those boundaries people complained about and even then there is already mods for that.

Where the game really shines is some the questlines in regards to choices and presentation, how fleshed out the companions are and the sense of player progression, which is in no small part due to lots of weapons only becoming available on higher levels and better ship parts and weapon / armor mods being locked behind skills and research tasks. Also, this has to be the first time in a Bethesda game where they got their economy right as I saw myself constantly running out of cash trying to upgrade my ship again, or buy some of those new cool weapons the vendors offer. I can't overstate how important this is and am really glad that Bethesda got it right this time around, as in previous titles money was just a score you constantly racked up and never had any use for, resulting in me questioning myself, why I even bother questing if you don't need the rewards.

All in all a typical Bethesda game in layout and structure, just alot bigger. So if any of you go in expecting one seamless map without any loading screens or fast travel prepare for disappointment.

Also check out the Nexus mod page and see the community going wild already. Starfield is here to stay and I can't wait to see it evolve in the years to come.

Huge improvements to Sense of Progression with Levels, (free for all) Blood Pass & their respective rewards, as well as a more accessible ranked league system.

I know that it's currently fashionable to hate on Cyanide for the missteps of their Publisher, but with the (albeit late) release of Season 1 the devs made a clear point of steering the game into a better direction.

As a huge fan of Koei Tecmo's games it pains me having to leave a negative review on this game as it is worse than Nioh 2 in every way, be it the superficial combat system that took more away than it added, streamlined magic & gear, no more weapon skill trees, lackluster and unchallenging bosses (with only 1 or 2 exceptions, looking at you Lu Bu) etc.

Having finished the main story after approximately 20 hours, the storytelling left alot to be desired and the aforementioned aspects removed any motivation for a second run in NG+.

There is no point in playing this dumbed-down-diet-version of a mobile game over Master Duel, unless you have the attention span and mental capacity of a 4 years old 3rd rate duelist with a 4th rate deck.

MH fanboys overreacting at serious competition, because this one actually has a decent story and doesn't rely on combat that's so damn slow that you can go grab a coffee in between strikes.

Performance is currently an issue being looked into and addressed in the next days so calm the f* down and stop review bombing.
