It's short but fun. It's worth it if you can get it on sale.

Makes the Ori and the Blind Forest platforming look bad when it isn't. Gameplay is simply amazing. Platforming is very smooth and the new tools you get feel great to use. Graphics are beautiful. Bought this on sale and it felt like I robbed the devs. Will of the Wisps is that good.

Absolutely beautiful.
Never thought I'd be attached to this game so much. Was a little iffy in the beginning but it's a good thing that I stuck with it and kept going. Every planet is different yet all beautiful and interesting in their own ways.
Go play it. Experience it for yourself. Don't look up guides. You only get to experience it once. Trust me it's worth it.

Fantastic game. Understandable slow start but it picks up the speed on the second half. As per usual, everything in the beginning is a mystery. Ichiban starts at rock bottom and everything slowly unfolds as he moves on and meets new people. Voice acting is fantastic too. Kazuhiro Nakaya really carried hard that final scene.
The series did a good job of transitioning into a turn based JRPG. I love how Nanba is a homeless caster guy that can summon pigeons to attack by throwing beans. Other skills are also great. Camera flash to lower accuracy, Nanba's terrible breath to lower enemy's defense, punking on someone to enrage them, and more. Poundmates is an amazing feature that made clearing substories worth it since some of the substory people can be used in battle as poundmates..
Yokohama Ijincho map is huge. There's a lot of stuff to explore. In contrast, the other two maps don't have much aside from battle arena. Ijincho has a lot of new minigames to play while the other two just feels the same as their old versions. Business management, vocational school, dragon kart, and can quest minigames are all welcome addition to the game.
Probably my 3rd favorite Yakuza game behind 0 and Kiwami 2. Idk, I just really love Kaoru Sayama as a character and I hate that she never appeared anywhere ever again. Same with Yayoi Dojima. I'll never forgive Yakuza 3.

Art is nice to look at. Fun to play when you're bored.

Quite slow in the beginning but the more you play it gets better. You start weak. You get tired easily, items aren't very strong, and you don't have your skills yet. But once you start unlocking them, gameplay becomes so much more enjoyable. You get access to parkour skills, different techniques when dealing with zombies, and a whole lot more. Advancing the story gets you access to stronger weapons and more modifications which makes dealing with zombies and bandits more tolerable. Better yet, the stomp skill. Stomp is an overpowered skill where you can just go to a high ground (a car for example) and kick off enemies in the head for a 1 hit ko.

Overall a fun game. Recommended.

It would've been better if it is voiced and/or has furigana. I can read hiragana and katakana but I'm pretty much a beginner with kanji. The game guides you through some sightseeing spots in Japan so why not also teach the player some phrases/sentences so when they actually go to Japan they know how to converse in simple Japanese?

Cool concept regardless.
