i beat the game today and im surprised, i expected it to be bad and worse than the original subnautica. i can actually imagine this game to be better than subnautica 1 in every single way when it fully releases. the map is nice even though its still pretty small in this version, but when the game fully releases the map will probbaly be twice as big as the first games map. the gameplay is similar to subnautica 1 and lowkey better, it feels refined and more modern. the loop of gathering resources and crafting is still really fun and the exploration is lovely. my only critiques are that the game starts to get boring at the endgame (in this release), and it feels confusing if you dont know what to do. but thats genuinely the only part of the game that starts to get boring. and my other critique is that the game isnt as scary as the first game, i never really got scared in this game. but that doesnt mean the atmostphere is bad in this game. i still think its on par with the first game and way better than below zero, but the current leviathans arent that scary. the out of bounds thing makes the surprise of accidentally entering the void not scary either. tbh i just hope they add a leviathan as scary or scarier than the reaper leviathan from the first game. also the low performance didnt bother me that much, i can deal with 90-100 fps on my specs but i EXPECT performance updates. the ost fits the enviorments and can make situations like encountering the collector leviathan more intense and i like that. a good ost will add on to the gameplay and in this games case it really does.

i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this game, i hate everything about it. everything feels forced, the mechanics dont feel satisfying and the fact they try to facilitate the speedrunning on this game makes speedrunning feel forced, and almost every single gun feels either too weak or too clunky and slow. the movement is simple which is okay but its so boring and just annoying. the game wasnt made to be taken seriously and thats okay, you can have a goofy game but it still has to be enjoyable otherwise itll just be actually bad instead of satirically bad

nostalgic, memorable characters, dead multiplayer. Pretty much a forgotten gem of its time, but its sad that this game never got the attention that it deserved back then, the graphics still hold up somewhat, i mean its bearable. but the best part of the game is its fun combat, you have alot of playstyles with the gun variety and the whiplash. honestly only buy this if you enjoy old games

just buy doom eternal its better in almost every way, but if youre a DOOM fan like me go ahead buy it when its on sale

I mean I guess it’s okay, I don’t understand the love for the game but it’s not necessarily a bad game now. The gameplay feels mindless though and lacks strategy, it should be harder and more challenging. Not increasing the Hp but adding more layers of strategy and complexity. Eitherway it’s a pretty decent game it just lacks depth in its gameplay

If you don’t care about strategy and just want some dopamine rush just play this but personally it’s not for me

horrible campaign, i loved the campaign of the first game way more. the progression felt rewarding and got slowly better dinosaurs in the first game, it was way better in the first game
