This mod is just unbelievably good. The level design, the voice acting (note: only in English), the cutscenes, everything is easily on par with Valve's in Portal 2, if not better. This is probably as close to Portal 3 as you can currently get it.

It took me about 8 hours to complete it, which is a lot of game time for a free, community-created mod. Some of the puzzles are considerably harder than in Portal 2; it's not unusual to spend more than 30 minutes on a single test chamber.

It's free if you already have Portal 2, so go try it!

There is not, never has been and never will be a better WW2 dinosaur game.

I cannot reccomend this game enough, especially with Mafia III being so close to release now.

It is a very good game, even five years later. Compared to other third-person shooters, Mafia II is the absolute cherry ontop from the technical side. Highly optimised graphics that will easily run on most PCs, good gunplay and then there are the driving physics... god I love these driving phyisics, they are better than on many racing games I played. You have a moderate selection of weapons, mostly automatic rifles. All of them feel just right with their recoil and stopping power, I couldn't think of a better way. Really, the controls and the performance are so much better than the half-arsed GTA IV port for PC. There is only thing that can put you off buying this game...

There is no free roam.

2K Czech spent so much effort in the tremendous amount of cars and the very detailed environment, but for what? The whole city is nothing but a connecting element from one mission to another. I see so much wasted potential in the base game, it's incredible. I can barely sleep at night thinking how stupid 2K Czech must have been to let out a free roam. I cannot handle this.

But there is help. If you plan to buy Mafia II (which I reccomend buying nonetheless), buy either the Joe's Adventures or Jimmy's Vendetta DLC alongside. They are another 10 bucks, but it's worth it if they're on sale. Head to the reviews of the specific DLCs on that matter. The replay value of Mafia II when you can just explore the free roam is incredible. The story takes just about 20 hours, but I have played Mafia II for over 160 hours by now. Well, this review is for Mafia II and not for its DLCs, but why not write that down anyways?

TL, DR: I fully reccomend Mafia II over GTA IV any day, despite the former lacking free roam mode. If you get one of the story-expanding DLCs, the greatest weakness of it is corrected. I cannot stress that point enough.

This game perfectly excels at making an average FPS player believe he is the worst player the surface of earth has ever seen.

It's easily the best WW1 game. Much like Red Orchestra 2 / Rising Storm: hard and not very beginner-friendly, but rewarding to play in the end. A must-have for everybody who likes realistic FPS games surely. Though, people who want a more casual arcade-ish shooter should better keep their hands off it.

I have played it on the Nintendo Wii several years ago and my experience on PC with this game has consolidated my opinion on it. It's a superb game, no question. Humorous and fun to play, you will notice a lot of easter eggs if you are an Indiana Jones fan. This game is perfect for anybody who likes Indiana Jones. If you want to buy it, then go ahead. You won't regret it if it's on sale. It's not worth the full 20€ though.

But if you are not sure whether to buy it or not, then I advice you to get Lego Star Wars - The Complete Saga instead. It has more content and a greater motivation to play it again multiple times after finishing it. That doesn't mean that Lego Indiana Jones is a bad game (it's quite the opposite), but Lego Star Wars is in my opinion a little bit better.
And if you really want it, you can play Indy in Lego Star Wars too.

To put it into perspective, I would rate Lego Star Wars with 9.5/10 and Lego Indiana Jones with 9.0/10. As I said, I totally reccomend this game for anybody, but I would reccomend Star Wars more.

I can't reccomend this DLC. The Race Ute and the Sierra are superb cars, very fun to drive and the R32 isn't bad either. But you can't use these cars in multiplayer unless EVERYBODY in the lobby owns the DLC. This is just stupid and a waste of money.

I have played it on the Nintendo Wii in 2007 and finally got it for PC a few months ago now. All I can say, this game is a must-have for everybody who loves Star Wars or Lego or both. Surely reccomended.

I'm pretty torn at this DLC.

+gives access to lots of interesting areas you usually can't reach or would ignore
+free roam
+play as Joe, most people's favourite character in Mafia II
+many possiblities
-very short story
-Joe unfortunatly doesn't talk often - wasted potential
-the story (if there is one) is told badly, almost no cutscences to show you what's really happening
-the adverted main aspect of this DLC, see how Vito was sent to prison is told after a few minutes

It's fun to play and do stuff in the free roam, a feature that unfortunatly is missing in the standard game, but the story is basically non-existent. I bought it for 2€ on sale, a value that perfectly fits what's being offered. But 8€ is too much. I will still rate this thumb up, because it fills exactly what was missing in the standard game IMO.
