I was really happy and surprised when I saw this demo announced and the statement that came with it. I loved the original game and was sad to see it not work out well but after trying this demo for a little bit it seems like a great trade off.

Pros:
- A fresh look to the map (Although i'll miss the original one personally)

- Much better performance than the last game. (Reduction in oddly low frames and lag spikes.)

- Random accessories on geckos. :)

- A pretty decent guiding system and easy to digest quest list.

- A dedicated multiplayer option in the esc menu.

Con (1) :
- The game feels a little different to the original one and while this isn't too bad I'll still miss it.

Overall, this was a very charming demo and I didn't run into any glitches which is amazing for any day 1 demo. I have really high hopes for this and I think that the discount for owners of the first game is a great compromise, thank you! I hope others enjoy this demo as well.

I got this game a while ago and enjoyed it for what it is but after a lot of time with no updates, the game-breaking glitches and how frequently I'd run into them actually sucked. I was willing to look past that but I learned recently this game was abandoned by the developer so none of these issues will ever be fixed. I don't think it's right to charge people for something you no longer wish to update without it being in at the very least a state where the player won't run into a glitch every time they play.

I loved the entire idea of this game and it's a shame I'll never see it finished.

Tried this for the first time today as I quite enjoyed Webfishing. I'm happy a developer has picked up the idea as Webfishing is no longer updated!

The character customisation is pretty simple but also personal which I really like. You can earn coins through selling fish to buy upgrades, props and wearable items. I also enjoy the fact that you can actively choose which type of fishing minigame suits you and your playstyle from simple and relaxed to a little more involved.

Honestly speaking, the game runs fine and even has the option to toggle settings automatically that best suit your pc's specs. I didn't run into any lag at all despite it running on UE5 which I'm impressed by.

I have high hopes for this game and I hope that it gains a chill following of likeminded furry fishermen. If you liked Webfishing you'll love this.

Overall, I liked this game. I actually felt on edge at multiple points and it felt natural. I've only done one play through so far and there's probably areas I never even discovered. I will add though that while I like most of the sound design in this game it can feel repetitive after a bit of time, there are also some sounds that feel way louder than others (The ladders and some of the ambience throughout mainly.)

I got to one of the later chapters and noticed frame drops throughout the level and lag during loading times that weren't as noticeable anywhere else and I'm not sure why.

Other than that though I really enjoyed this game and recommend it to people who are fans in general of liminal spaces and the backrooms in general. While there are rough patches here and there the overall experience is fun and keeps you curious.
