When this game first came out me and my mates were excited to explore the "infinite universe" to this day i am still excited to do the same thing, this game isn't perfect but it is the foundation for something big, there are a few kinks in the system like not being able to jump to another system with a friend without jumping to the system on your own bu that is an understandable feature to stop players from joining random people, skipping most of the map

it is a very good game but if you buy the starter addition then it isnt worth the hours you will have to play to get your first new character, i personally would pay the extra £20 to save myself the hours i will need to spend on the game.
I own the started addition and at the start you get 300 credits to get a character, after that any character you want to buy will be 12500 renown which takes a while in game to get, I am at 12 hours as I am typing this and I only have just under 5000 renown and im getting tired of playing as the same 2 characters every game
Like i said before, good game but if you are thinking about getting the starter addition because its cheaper, dont, it costs you more time then money to unlock more in the starter addition then the standard addition

fun game, can spend hours upon hours exploring and learning new things, really enjoy the creativity and structure of the maps and how interesting the actual story behind ark is, hoping for good things to come and more juicy lore(like anti-mesh and pvp system revamp and the next chapter of the story)

if you would of asked me a year or 2 ago i would of said this was an amazing game, with hours and hours worth of gameplay that doesn't get stale, the keyword in that sentence is WAS, this WAS a good game, it WAS fun, now its just full of bots, i stopped playing this game in april 2021 because of the bot crisis where bots would flood servers and start kicking people and aimbotting and such, i come back a year later and out of 10 matches i play, 2 of them don't have any bots in them at all, not only do the bots aimbot but they spam voice chat and can even lag the server out to combat the usual heavy/sniper and medi-vac combo, this was a really really fun game as its my second most played game on my account but valve stopped caring which is tragic, i personally wouldn't recommend the game to anyone, i'd tell them not to even consider looking at it because of the state the game is in and if u can see this review, don't bother downloading this game at all, its a waste of disk space at this point

scary but full of laughs
