Game is unfinished. Not even close to release state. Missing features, HORRIBLE performance. Almost every aspect has a bug.

Details:

~State~
Not much to do. After 3-4 shooting missions, 2-3 Salvage operations and a bit of exploration, there is nothing much more to do. Only collect materials to grind for upgrades for the suit. No Thargoid troops, no unique encounters, no new addition on missions. Ironically, ship interiors would have provided many more "gameplay hours" just by looking around the ships.

~Bugs~
Bugs encountered so far: Not being able to light the flashlight resulting in me blindly running indoors, missing mission critical items resulting in mission failure, not being able to customize gear, not being able to transfer modules between storage and ship (sometimes it worked sometimes it did not), not being able to purchase new modules, stuck in numerous screens with no option to leave the in game screen resulting in force exit of the entire game, galaxy map glitches and does not display the circle around each star resulting in difficulty in navigation, selecting numerous time the energy cell did not work resulting in suit power down and death and many many more. For a new release the amount of bugs is undeniably big. I am expecting to see bugs in a new game but not that many. Not the kind of "bugs" we were expecting to encounter in Elite.

~Performance~
23 -40 FPS in Settlements, 40-50 inside stations, 70-90 in Space. Expect to crash at least 2-3 times in an hour long session. Game drops down to a locked 4 fps state, physics go haywire and can only be fixed temporarily by changing the resolution back and forth. Stuttery mess. Even on low settings and 1080p the performance stays the same. For a 2021 title that's unacceptable.

~Multiplayer~
Good luck instancing with other players.

I will update this review if and when it's fixed. With almost 4000 hours in this game, it saddens me to see such a wonderful potential ruined by greed, a hasty release and complete disconnection of the Developer Leadership with their own game. Until then I'll urge people to stay away.

Pre-purchased this game as i was waiting for a long time to play a proper DS game since the first one. Really hyped, really excited. I enjoyed every second i played this game. The graphics, the map layout with its shortcuts and stuff, the difficulty and the story.

But then, at around 56 hours, i got a "warning" For using invalid data. I said to myself: What? Must be a bug, did not use anything to cheat or to alter my data. But the warning remained there, and each time i was thinking more and more bad stuff that could happen. I searched online and found literally thousands of players having the same problem. Reddit was on fire, steam group was on fire, even some journalistic websites reported this issue. I started searching for a clue as the majority of these people were banned after a while and i did not want that to happen to me. Was it a program that is conflicting with the game like Shadowplay or the Elite Xbox Controller app for windows 10? Was it msi's oc app or Discord which both have built in overlays? Was it the cheater i once summoned for the Aldritch Boss fight?

Since then, i did not play the game in fear something would happen. My gaming experience from this is totally ruined. I periodically check the game message in the starting screen and then log out again. This is just outrageous for a game worth 60 Euros. The company has yet to release a statement, customer support does not give replies and everyone is in the dark.
Tl;dr: Despite the fact that this is a beautiful game that lives up to the hype, due to the fact that they are banning random people for no reason i can not recommend buying this game. You might get banned for doing absolutely nothing and you may never know why.

When i bought this game, i thought it was just another game that i would have on my library and never play. I jumped into some novice matches and said yeah ok ram and shoot, but something kept me playing it for a bit. Then i found these high epxerienced guys and it was...a whole new game. Every time i play with a coordinated crew i feel the chills. The amount of depth in this game's mechanics is tremendous. I recomend playing it with your friends or make some friends inside the game for the best experience!
