Cant wait to see whats next for this developer and engine! Also the game is pretty good, very enjoyable with a friend. Once you get a hang of how the game works you can play without very much thinking.

I would love more meaningful choices on how to tackle certain maps, and characters with personalities, but this is nitpicking. The game reminds me of 'B' games of the mid 2000s in aesthetics and writing, which isnt a bad thing, but this title is getting carried very hard by the gameplay loop, which is excellent although Not quite living up to its highest potential.

EDIT" OPEN CAMPAIGN IS SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FUN WOWWWWWWW 10/10. DLC looking tempting now.

Very good. I like Skrip. I buy a lot of stuff skrip is selling. I hope skrip is having a good time with all the money hes earning. Also I give him cheesy sandwiches and burgers.

10/10. Would feed skrip cheese again.

All the pomp and circumstance without the speed or finesse of better games.

Its fun. Difficulty is a bit weird. Last fight (hermit atm) is very hard. We upgraded out totem to max (range and automatic refill), equipped healing totem and used it to recharge our health during the fight so we beat the guy on first try. A healer would probably also work.

Very different kind of roguelike, very beautiful game. Development seems slow, but the new update is very fun. I thought the torches was the most annoying thing at first, but you get used to it. It's both fast paced and difficult, while also being forgiving. Definitely unique.

TLDR Game is small and short, but very fun and well made.

I got the last achievement and I feel content.

The game is a simple and satisfying rougelike. The little details like camera shake and bullets dropping out of the ammo bar at the side of the screen are very well done. This turns into pure satisfaction when you build a crazy rat with a high rate of fire, a slew of bullets spewing out on each shot and a massive reservoir of bullets ready to go.

The upgrades are powerful yet lack impact on the actual gameplay. Whatever they do doesnt matter as much as how much they increase your damage. I'm usually not a fan of this kind of progression, but Rocket Rats is a very simple game, and being able to play it while my partner is watching a youtube video on the TV makes any lack of depth a non-issue.

I am eagerly awaiting the next game from these devs. If they can bring the same quality next time around I'll definitely play it.

Rocket rats has just enough rats, upgrades and strategizing to be a fun romp. There's very little depth however, and I don't see how the game could be expanded without a big overhaul.

Get the game if you're itching for something to play while distracting yourself in other ways, or if you're trying to get a younger sibling into the rougelike rabbithole. No regrets here, 15 hours of good arcade-y fun. I'd play it more if there was more to do and unlock.

After 100 hours I can confidently say that I have a faint idea of how to play the game. I look forward to checking out the space age DLC in another 50 hours or so.

I restarted the game the first time after realizing my factory was a mess that I couldn't be bothered to fix, on my second save i then launched a rocket into space, celebrated with a bottle of whiskey and restarted on a death world with mods.

The more I play the more I enjoy the game. However, the game lacks narrative, and competent enemies. I keep fantasizing about how much better the game would be if there were a few sentient enemies who would launch co-ordinated well telegraphed attacks. Currently the biters offer little more than a predictable sink for electricity and resources.

EDIT: 400 hours in. Game is good. Artillery trains are still very fun. Space ships are annoying. Trains are the best ever. Factorio 2 when?

I bought this game on sale and hated it. Then I came back weeks later because I'm not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ who buys bad games. I hated it even more and uninstalled it.

Then I kept thinking about the game, I love the alchemy, I love not having tutorials or handholding, I love learning how to play a game by taking notes and using my brain.

So I tried it again, and I stopped focusing on long term goals, or even what quest I was supposed to do. I started taking care of the easiest tasks, often having to run back and forth to figure out what materials I needed for what.

Now I'm hooked. It's a very enjoyable grind, and I feel like my brain is being cleansed of the ADHD mindset that modern games have installed into it. Skinning corpses and skulking inside underground tunnels, only appearing on the surface to buy some "HEMP" seeds from a homeless guy is very relaxing.

Thank you to the devs who could've made the game simpler, and more streamlined, but chose not to. Great job!

Runs on the steam deck at 30 fps on low.

Cyborg ninja gets a ride from loligirl elon musk to fight linebacker texas senator who wants to get rid of all laws in order to make america great again. Why are we fighting this guy instead of exploring space? Raiden has daddy issues.
