As a kid I got Rise of Nations during my time where I was highly into RTS games. Nonetheless my dad was kinda dumb and bought the expansion before the actual game which prevented me from enjoying it earlier.

To see this being in the Steam Market in a remastered edition warms my RTS heart. 40 hours on Steam says nothing to the grand total of hours sank into this game before the remaster. This is a pure masterpiece, back when RTS was at it's best.

If you love the RTS genre, definetly pick this up as it's without a doubt one of the greatest RTS games out there.

The soundtrack is insane to a point where it plays the right track at the right time, making this game so much more enjoyable to me than a game like C&C Red Alert 2 where you play the song till its over.

It may be a bit hard to get the hang of the game and I never found the tutorial to be that helpful, but I can't help but to fall in love with this remaster.

If only I had some friends to play the MP with :(

This game.. I am not a TBS fan at all but Civilization V keeps me playing for hours and hours straight. It has this thing which makes you addicted to it, to just play that one turn more, to just get that civ on his knees to your army, just that one turn for your wonder to finish. Playing this with the expansions is a must. If you decide to buy this game, buy the Complete Edition cause the expansion packs offer so much more and makes the game even more addicting than it already is. Downside is though that you can't form a real alliance aside from a petty "Declaration of Friendship"
