I backed this game at one of the highest Kickstarter tiers and it was totally worth it. I play a lot of indie platformers, and this is one of the best. Deceptively difficult, almost approaches kaizo level at times, but reasonable checkpoints and infinite lives keep it from being too much.

A broken mess that's not even fun on the rare occasion that it works properly.

Infuriating. Nice job.

This is a Jump King/Getting Over It style game, where a lot of the challenge comes from just getting used to the intentionally weird controls. But compared to most games in this... genre? I'd say this game both has more content than you usually get, and is more accessible.

In terms of content, you've got a traditional campaign split into levels, a Jump King/Getting Over It style giant level with no checkpoints, competitive and co-op multiplayer (though I haven't touched either of these), and even a level editor.

And in terms of accessibility, I think the traditional campaign makes it a lot easier to digest than being thrown into the one giant level and beaten into submission. It's not nearly as demotivating to just go back to the last checkpoint when you mess up, compared to JK/GOI where you can fall all the way back to the beginning if you make a single mistake. Also, there are actual accessibility settings, like being able to slow the game down or make the jump stronger.

If you're into games like Jump King and Getting Over It, and/or if you're a streamer with viewers who enjoy watching you suffer, I think this game's worth checking out.

A potentially decent game that's completely ruined by the fact that you have to constantly flail your arms like a lunatic to do anything. It's like they saw the worst of Wii era motion controls and said, "Yes, that, let's do that."

I got this game on an impulse just a week ago and it's already my second most played game on Steam. So it's okay I guess.

This game filled the hole in my soul that was created when Metroid Prime 4 got delayed.

I never get all the achievements in games, rarely beat games twice, and really don't even beat most games once.

But this game? I got a Platinum on the PS4 version, then bought the game again on PC when I upgraded my graphics card, beat it again, beat the DLC (well not quite, I'm holding off on the final Atlantis mission), and currently only have a dozen achievements left.

This is one of the best games I've ever played. I could talk for hours about why, and might eventually do that somewhere that isn't a Steam review. But the short version is: it's basically an Elder Scrolls or Witcher style open world RPG, except the controls are smooth and satisfying and the core gameplay is actually fun.

The first time you try Expert, you're gonna feel about as good with a gun as a blind Stormtrooper. But the first time you get a full combo on Expert, you're gonna feel like John ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Wick.

This game has a steep learning curve. Way steeper than Beat Saber. But man, if you stick with it, it's so damn satisfying.

The devs have also been responsive in addressing criticisms and adding content. For example, they adjusted the way melee targets work within days of release, and they've been regularly adding a couple new songs for free every few weeks.

Like the other reviews say, great concept, good execution, it just needs more songs and stages.

My one complaint is that I'm not a fan of how Fever mode switches to a different song with a different tempo. It makes me not want to use it. I think if it might be better if instead of changing the song, it just temporarily let you shoot on eighth notes instead of just quarter notes. Maybe add a filter to the music or another layer of instruments to really make it feel awesome.

Simple but fun. I was a bit worried that the throwing mechanics might not be accurate enough, but I was pleasantly surprised that the balls went where I threw them, and when I missed, I felt like it was my own fault. I like how the difficulty ramps up pretty gradually, with each level changing one small thing, but those small things add up. A bit light on content for its price in the current state, but I understand that it's Early Access. Would probably be a great game for introducing casual players to VR.
