You quickly find that a lot of the dungeons are same-y but that doesn't stop the game from being really fun. It really picks up once you start acquiring lots of different magical powers and weapons. With the 1.0 release this is finally feels like a full game and not just a VR demo in a sea of VR demos.

As someone who generally dislikes playing shooters where you fight against other real people, the co-op gamemode in this game is a ton of fun. You and 3 other people fight against waves of bots to either cap or defend control points. The overall match difficulty seems to swing from super easy to brutally difficult and everything in-between which keeps games interesting.

There are multiple other gamemodes including the main one, Galactic Assault, where you play against other people. Unfortunately, you may have read other reviews that mention problems with cheaters. In my experience, this is either true or people in the other modes are just cracked because I get handily decimated. I can't recommend this game for most of its gamemodes due to this. However, if you can catch it on a sale, it's absolutely worth half-price or less ($20USD or less) for the cooperative gamemode alone.

The game launched amidst scandalous lootbox controversy but I believe that all got stripped out right before launch. All characters are unlocked by default, you get all skins, and other weapons/upgrades are earned in-game. I think the skins were paid content at some point but with the Celebration Edition of the game they are all(?) unlocked. Since this is the only edition you can buy on Steam, I'm pretty sure just buying the game gets you everything in it.

If you like the aesthetics of Star Wars then you will love this game. Everything from the scenery, characters, sound effects, and music is perfect. Despite being a game from 2017 it still is one of the most beautiful looking games out there.

I only have one minor issue with the game and that is that oftentimes when you start it up it will fail to connect to EA's servers. You just need to keep spamming the reconnect until it works, which can take several tries sometimes. It'll always eventually connect, though, so it's just an inconvenience more than anything.

In short, I highly recommend this game when it's on sale just for its cooperative gamemode.

Super fun gun gameplay. Great graphics. A must-play for fans of Robocop.

UPDATE: Finally finished the campaign. While the early to middle sections of the game can have some slow parts, the ending 1/5th of the game is pure kickass shooting action.

A very fun, arcadey Ghostbusters game. I haven't tried playing with friends yet but the solo bots are usually fairly competent (when they aren't stuck blasting at random walls.)

Lots of customization options and upgrades. Nothing costs money- it's all earned in-game through challenges and progression.

The story was decently entertaining. Two of the OG movie cast make appearances in the game and provide voice work.

The store price feels perfect for the amount of game you get. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

My only issue with the game is that the shader cache seems to build during gameplay rather than before. This means you'll get horrible stuttering occasionally for the first few matches as effects load for the first time. It's not gamebreaking and it decreases in occurrence until everything is cached finally. If I were rating 1-5 stars this wouldn't even knock off a star for how much of a non-issue it became after a few hours.

There's a "suicide vest" gadget that works exactly like it sounds- click to blow yourself up. I've caught many people off-guard with it and it never gets old.

I'm having a ton of fun going through this game and finding all the secrets. I love the various nods to Hypnospace!

There's a huge variety of things to do in this game and yet I'm drawn back into the casino the most. Help

It’s a confusing and sometimes frustrating game but you can press a button to hoot and there’s no better feeling than when your tribe hoots back

Like Frog Fractions, this is a game best played going into it completely blind.
