Battlefront II is a high budget AAA Star Wars licensed action shooter with a focus on multiplayer, but there's a decent single player campaign. There's also a co-op mode so you can play the game with friends.

Monetisation aside you can have a lot of fun with just the base game, and the single player campaign is a lot of fun.

The graphics are top notch, it's highly polished and looks and feels great.

Worth picking up on sale.

Some caveats, of course, this requires EA's app to be installed, and it requires a persistent internet connection. I absolutely understand many gamers would want to avoid this for that reason.

Also, the game is superseded so there's no new content or additions to the game if you just care about the multiplayer scene. My recommendation here is purely based on the single player and co-op content.

Random online play is awful. You can't play with only your friends or choose maps. You can't progress in Singleplayer. Connections to the servers fails often.
