The One:1 was never designed to be sensible.
It wasn’t built to fit a category—it was built to create one.

Unveiled in 2014, the Koenigsegg One:1 became the world’s first megacar by achieving a true 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. 1,360 ps. 1,360 kg. Numbers that weren’t marketing targets, but engineering demands.

Only seven units exist, including the prototype. Every gram was questioned, every surface shaped by airflow, every system pushed beyond convention. A full carbon-fiber monocoque and bodywork form the backbone, while active aerodynamics generate 610 kg of downforce at 260 km/h to keep the car planted when speed stops feeling theoretical.

At its core sits a rear mid-mounted 5.0L twin-turbo V8, delivering 1,371 Nm of torque through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and an electronically controlled differential. The Triplex suspension system exists for one reason: stability at speeds where most cars have already lost composure.

Despite being fully road-legal, the One:1 was never meant for comfort or compromise. It was engineered to dominate the circuit, survive the street, and expose the limits of everything around it.
