It was really quite fun with tons of promise, but this game hasn't been updated since 2018.

Hop back into the City Builder section on Steam and keep scrolling, this ain't the one, I'm afraid.

"Heartbreak in the City" was the most exciting quest in the game when we discovered it, my wife and I went from bored on the couch to sitting straight up & debating the evidence, we scoured the city to look for the pieces that were missing, we just KNEW this game had an answer that tied it all together.

No, no it does not.

Not only is it completely open ended, but the guard doesn't arrest anyone, he berates you for trying to extrapolate on the crumbs it gives you, and thats it.

Heartbreak in the City is a microcosm of Sable as a whole, a game designed for aimless wandering with no point, that parrots Breath of the Wild while berating you for expecting it to expand on that inspiration in any way.

I'd call it style over substance, though frankly the style is often so illegible and bland in places that saying its style is over anything is deeply misleading.

This game doesnt just suck, it sucks in such a way that it genuinely offends me. It's beyond bland, its insulting. Hugely disappointing.

This is a fun, streamlined entry into the Monster Hunter series with a lot of quality of life changes that fans will enjoy.

That being said, those fans will not be able to experience this game, as it has degraded in quality with each and every update, from "works on only some PCs" to "no longer functional on any reasonable PC". Do not even consider giving money to developers that make games like this.

You get to a point where another bug forces you to reload, and you're confronted with repeating the last 20 minutes of trying to decode the labyrinthine level up system to try and understand what the hell all these skills even do, and you just have to stop and accept that even if you love 40k, in it's current state this game just isn't worth it.

It's just exhausting.
