Addicting gameplay, nice if you want something to really sink your teeth into.

Story is bland and uninteresting, the gameplay is where it's at.

Poorly optimized and crashes semi-frequently.

Monsters die a bit too quick, so when joining randoms you spend as much time in the loading screen as you do in game (at least in lower ranks).

Still, game is good.

Pretty much the best co-op shooter atm.

I finished the game in around 100 hours doing most of the optional content I could find.

First things first; The game in it's current state is quite buggy. Some quests are broken (or force you to make choices you don't want just to be able to progress), some talents interact in strange ways and there's a bunch of small issues in combat and space combat. Most of these will probably be fixed in 6-12 months.

For the actual game and story: it's really good. An uncut gem in it's current state. If you like 40k you will love how this game portrays the 40k setting. It's very on point and you really feel like a rouge trader in the dark millenium.

My main complaint is that the game wants you to go down certain 'morale routes' and always pick those options when avaliable. If you don't earn a high enough 'rank' in your chosen morale, you get locked out of the option of even pocking those choices. At the end of the game I couldn't choose ANY of the morale exclusive dialogue options which was kinda dissapointing.

Gameplay wise: the game starts out kinda difficult but around the penultimate chapter you'll probably have one or two characters carrying your entire team. The last chapter my Arch-militant pretty much cleared out entire combats in the first turn (played on standard difficulty).

However it feels like some of the classes are kind of.. pointless. The operative in particular doesnt really do anything for the team and I never felt they had any impact. Soldiers/Warriors/Officers going into Arch-Militant/Vanguard/Master Tactician are pretty much the bread and butter of your team imo.

I also found it kind of sad that psykers and navigators weren't really classes per say, but rather backgrounds that just gives you some extra options beside whatever your class gives you.

The maps in general are cool as hell, well designed and a viasual treat. However some maps are narrow and cramp, which literally locks your space marine companion from moving around while in combat. It feels kinda bad to have to reload and engage the enemy from s different direction because there is an oil-barrel in the way of your space marine buddy.

Another pet peeve I have with the design is that sometimes there are areas with hazards (like hot steam, fire or magic) that hurts you and the 'gameplay' boils down to selecting every character individually and navigating them through these traps one by one. Imo, that is just busywork and completely pointless.

Beside all the bugs and some odd inconsistencies at times (like how I killed a major character that randomly shows up right before the last mission like nothing happened) - the game is actually really good, the story is very compelling and I do recommend you play it. Maybe just wait a couple of months so that the worst bugs are ironed out.

Best combat I've played in any action game tbh, and that is not an overstatement. Was never much for Mech-games before, but the combat is really good and the story is kinda interesting. Strong recommend.

Early Access Review
You like the idea of an extraction shooter, but you don't want to go balls deep hardcore like Tarkov?

Marauders is a great compromise that focuses more on close quarters combat. The weapons range from old goodies like the MP40 and BAR from the WWII era, to Vietnam War assault rifles with a good mix that levels the playing field. Gone are the days of being sniped from 200m+.

There are what I would call some drawbacks. Marauders, like Tarkov insists on not providing you with a map for some reason. Why? Experienced players will simply pull up a map on another screen or a phone, Veteran players might not even need one. This design decision simply punishes new players excessively and doesn't really add anything to the game. Ofcourse there shouldn't be a minimap/radar, but a map in game (or the classic 'you are here'-maps baked into the levels) would be a godsend for newer players.

At this point, the game is also in Early Acess; so expect a bit of jank.

I really enjoy this game however and you could too, give it a chance.

A very good game with a handfull of issues that makes it frustrating beyond belief to play. Do you love getting stuck on ledges you never intended to climb? Do you enjoy tight, quick gameplay with challenging bosses? Do you enjoy a schitzophrenic gameplay experience where the game pushes you to go faster, but then suddenly punishes you for going fast?

You're gonna love this game 10/10 would rage again.

If you love 40k, you'll love this game. Sure, it is not in a prime state before release and there are a lot of things Fatshark needs to work on. However, I'll keep butchering poxridden filthy cultists while they do.

Edit: I've played this game since release on and off and I'd say that the state the game is in right now is pretty damn good. The new crafting system did wonders to make the game FEEL a lot more respectful towards the player's time. A slow trickle of new content has been adding up and today the game is easily worth the price if you either enjoy 40k or enjoy coop shooters.

My only complaint is the cosmetics shop, how it's on a FOMO rotation and how a big chunk of the skins are unimaginative. Still, the game is great overall.

This is a Mission based game about Dwarves in space, mining asteroids.

Honestly, this is one of my favourite games. The community is 9 times out of 10 very friendly. Don't be afraid to join random people, just be sure to check the hazard level.

ROCK AND STONE!

When you get put in a 2h queue:

Why the ♥♥♥♥ can't Jeff Bezos afford more server hardware? What the ♥♥♥♥ is this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

When you get into the game:
Spam G
Kill
Run
Spam G
Kill
THIS IS GREAT

On a more serious note, I can't recommend this game to anyone working regular hours; you cannot reliably get into the game, you will be put in queues you will have to wait between 30min-4 hours (estimated). If you don't work regular hours, or if you don't work at all this game is great, because you can log in during morning hours and just stay logged in the whole day. This wont be an issue then.

I'd love to reccomend this game, but since I can't access my account and EAs automatic system is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I find this unlikely. This game often requires you to get a "one time password" sent to you, but their system doesn't actually send it. Most frustrating thing I've ever encountered while managing accounts of any form. This makes the game litterally unplayable.
