Genuinly so difficult to say yes or no. F&H has an incredible world, Incredible characters, Great writing, Great art and the combat is different to other rpg maker games to spice it up. there is so much to like here.
BUT.

I have now played this game for 22 hours and i have made it halfway through the game ONCE. and i could only do that by doing everything a guide said and using the built in dev "cheats" to get the extra characters at the start. not because of combat or anything other than bad RNG. I tried to save my game 4 times and using lucky coins every time failed and had to lose an hour and a half of progress. A solid 80% of my runs have been screwed by RNG and that is really what kills the game for me. Every time i start to feel like i'm actually getting into the "game" part of the game the RNG fully kills it for me.

So because of that i can't recommend it as a game. It just feels disengenuous to say that you as a regular consumer will actually enjoy it unless you are a very specific type of gamer with a lot of time on your hands that doesn't mind doind literally the exact same thing 50 times in a row praying that you don't have to do it again because of a coin flip.

However

I do recommend everything apart from the game. the stories and the world and how unapolagetically raw it is without being gratuitous is truly something that doesn't come around very often. I really hope it keeps being refined and there is more of it to enjoy but SERIOUSLY DO SOME RESEARCH before you get this and EVEN THEN think about it.

If you are a fan of oldschool/newschool boomer shooters get this. this is basically as good as it gets.

Lots of fun. a little bit of cult sim. a little bit of roguelike i think it fills both roles perfectly. There isn't much replay value admittedly but if you are a perfectionist like me and want to see all the endings then there are still some decisions you can make differently to spice up at least one more playthrough.
Never the less the first playthrough is awesome and i loved every second of it from start to finish. Well done devs ya made a good ass game here. bought myself the supporter pack because i think they did such a great job.

Lots of fun to just pickup and play. Get it if it looks like something you'd like and if it's on sale just get it anyway.
