Bloodhound is an interesting game but also a little repetitive. Both in terms of enemies and soundtrack. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed playing it, and for 4 hours on the hardest difficulty, it was enough. But I also feel that I wouldn't buy this game unless it's on sale. The enemy attacks can pretty much all be evaded by just strafing the entire time you are playing which can make for a dull experience after the first hour.

For the soundtrack, it's pretty good overall. But it is also repetitive. I think it may benefit from another track or two being added but considering it's a really short playtime I don't think that matters too much. The achievements can mostly be all acquired in a single run through, but for a couple, you probably need to save scum or do two or three runs as they are related to killing a specific enemy.

I'm not really sure what else to say about Bloodhound. It's okay overall, but only worth it's price if the game is on sale. I don't think there is a ton of replayability. I wish there was a neutral option when posting a review, but choosing between negative or positive, my experience does lean more positive.

Early Access Review
I feel that Lethal Company kind of hit the nail on the head. It is a ton of fun to play, has an interesting art style, sound design and environments, with a simple gameplay loop that is indefinitely repeatable. I have always been surprised in games when people use their mics in random lobbies because on PC it seems that everyone owns one but just doesn't use it, but in Lethal Company, it's actually surprising when someone doesn't use a mic. Some of the interactions I have had with people online have been absolutely the funniest and most enjoyable I have had with random lobbies in a long time.

The game is still early access so I think I may as well add some things I'd love to see implemented. I think that allowing the host to toggle some kind of drop in mechanic while in orbit would be fantastic. If someone leaves, currently you will have 1 less player or have to remake the lobby so that people can join again which means that the people you were previously playing with may not be able to join with how quickly a lobby can fill up. Additionally, for the occasional person that doesn't have or use a mic, but does use text chat, I think it would be amazing to have some kind of simple voice synthesizer that works on proximity exactly like the voice chat does. I'd imagine something along the lines of some of the first ever voice synthesizers, or similar to the one in Moonbase Alpha would fit in really nicely with the style of this game. I would suggest some kind of emote wheel with pre-recorded lines but I think that would actually hurt the game a little by providing too much of an alternative to using your microphone for communication.

As for bugs, there is a bug that causes employees to be invisible rarely when joining a lobby. Another bug where you may be able to hear someone, but they cannot hear you, but others can hear everyone. Aside from these bugs, I don't think I have anything negative to say about Lethal Company.

Overall though, Lethal Company has very quickly become one of my favorite games on Steam and I would seriously recommend giving it a shot. If you are someone who doesn't do horror at all, I do feel that Lethal Company is a good starting point as it's not too scary in any sense but there can be occasional "oh ♥♥♥♥" moments. Especially when playing with people, talking, having a good time, doing dumb things, it is a very enjoyable experience.

I don't have a ton to say about CARRION, overall it was a really good game. I enjoyed playing as a vicious meat blob destroying and killing everything in my path. I did complete both the base game and the Christmas campaign to 100% completion in about 6 hours.

The gameplay is pretty good and the progression is well paced. CARRION does a good job of pacing the game and changing how you play as you go. It introduces new abilities for you to use just as you feel like you've gotten use to the previous one. The game never feels like it gets dragged out or padded for content. In terms of difficulty, I think that they've hit a good balance of just difficult enough to provide some challenge while also still being easy enough to make you feel like a powerful flesh monster.

The only negative thing I have to say is that navigating the map late game in order to get all of the abilities and achievements is a little frustrating without a map, I kept finding myself going around in the same loops while trying to get to a previous area of the game, but it's not that big of a deal, more of a minor annoyance.

I did see that there is a workshop section for this game, but it seems kind of barren. At the time of writing there is only 50 items in the workshop.

Overall I think that CARRION is worth playing if it seems like something that interests you. $20 may be a little steep for how long the game is and how soon you'd replay it so maybe pick it up on a sale.

I'm finally writing a review for Fallout 4 purely because I have 666 hours on the game at the moment. All in all Fallout 4 is a great game. I remember when I first got the game a couple years ago. During a free weekend I figured I'd give it a shot and as the weekend was coming to a close I didn't want to stop playing so of course I bought it.

In terms of gameplay, it's overall pretty good. The world is interesting to explore and learn about, there are a ton of optional areas/building interiors to explore with each one having a different story of it's own. The story of Fallout 4 is generally well written with a couple main choices ultimately leading up to one of the multiple endings. There are however a couple weak points, like for example your main goal of finding Sheahan... Shean, Sean... oh, Shaun... yeah, Shaun is your son introduced in the games opening sequence, but is mostly irrelevant most of the game depending how you chose to play. It's like a span of 5 minutes that he is initially relevant and it's all during the most annoying time of any persons life: the infant stage. Only later in the game is he shoehorned back into relevance and back out again depending how you play the game.

There are definitely some issues with the game in terms of bugs, it is a Bethesda game after all. None that I have personally encountered are particularly game breaking, mostly just inconvenient like one where opening the Pip-Boy stops working right and you have to quit to the main menu and reload and it's magically fixed.

While this isn't a bug, but more of a design choice, loading screens can take forever in some places because the game engine speed is tied to framerate. Increasing framerate decreases loading times but adds some other weirdness to the game. There is a mod that I highly recommend to make loading screens shorter and allow you to run at higher framerates without the engine speed weirdness that can happen. The mod is High FPS Physics Fix from NexusMods.

One of my main complaints is actually something that sometimes I like and other times not so much. I like the settlement system and being able to build and manage different settlements. The part of it I don't like is the constant need to defend them and Preston's constant "another settlement needs our help". It feels like you can't interact with him without being assigned a settlement quest. Now my strategy is to complete the quest he assigned, turn it in and walk away before he continues talking so that he can't assign another quest, after that I move him to a different settlement to live on his own.

The base game is great, but then you have the DLC which is a ton of fun. Far Harbor and Nuka World being the main two. They both add plenty of new content to the game. If that still isn't enough, modding is where it's at. There are a ton of mods available for FO4. There are small changes or additions to larger changes and complete overhauls or unofficial patches. There are a ton of different things you can do to change the feel and gameplay of Fallout 4.

In short, I definitely recommend Fallout 4 mainly because It's one of the singleplayer games I do revisit from time to time. While I mainly play on my gaming PC, it is worth noting that it runs pretty well on the Steam Deck too.

I'll be honest, I don't really remember playing the 2008 Dead Space much. But as far as re-releasing the same game with an updated look and feel goes, this is absolutely the way it should be done, EA and Motive have just set the standard for this. Keep what works and improve where it needs to. There is plenty to like about this remaster.

I'll start with the most obvious improvement of the graphics, the game is beautiful, ominous, and creepy somehow at the same time. Everything is recognizable from the original from the shop and save stations to the characters, necromorphs, etc, but with a modern look and much more detail than was originally possible. I do feel that it may lose some of that eerie and grimy feel that the older graphics have for some people, but this is down to personal preference.

The second thing that I think is a major improvement is Isaac is no longer a mute protagonist, he actually feels like a person rather than just a drone taking orders. Some of the dialogue feels less jarring or forced compared to the original because of this. A great example is the argument when Daniels accuses Hammond of knowing more about what's going on and why he is there than he's said.

Another improvement is optional text and audio logs. It's just another layer of world building that was missing from the 2008 version. Most of the logs are the days coming up to the disaster and your arrival. It kind of explains some of the things that people experienced and why things happened the way they did a bit better.

It's kind of sad that I feel the need to add this paragraph, but with how often unfinished and buggy games are being released now days, it's definitely worth noting that I had basically no issues with this game. I had 1 crash to desktop early in the game because my GPU driver was out of date, which I didn't even have to troubleshoot because the helpful error that came up told me exactly that. After that, no issues aside from knocking a single necromorph out of the map through a wall. As far as I'm concerned from my experience Dead Space is a very well polished game, though it is worth noting that other reviews have some variety of issues mostly performance related.

It took me just under 16hrs to complete my first playthrough going at a leisurely pace and immersing myself in the game, dark room and all. Going to definitely be starting New Game+ soon. One additional thing I thought was very cool is when you load up the game, it's actually loading your last save at the same time, so the moment you press continue at the main menu you are in game ready to play with no loading screen between the main menu and playing.

Bonus points to EA for not requiring their launcher! I click play and the game opens, I seriously appreciate this.

I'm glad that EA is still interested in this series because I definitely am and I hope to see what else they do with the Dead Space IP in the future!

I recognize this probably isn't the most fair review just based on my playtime alone, but I figured I'd share my opinion anyways.

When I first saw this game, I thought it would be an interesting take on the city building genre. For me at least, It's not. Aquatico doesn't really do anything unique compared to other city builders other than the setting.

Speaking of the setting, the reason you are underwater is because of an apocalyptic event making surviving underwater kind of humanities last chance, aside from the opening cut scene it really does not feel like that's the case. Residents will just up and leave because your city doesn't look pretty leaving jobs open. It wasn't made clear in the short time I played how to get more residents other than they sort of just come at random times. Additionally, I don't think there are any kind of failure conditions.

I don't really like the layout of some of the interfaces like the research tree and the building menus. Also when you trade for materials, I'm not sure what happened in my case, but I was waiting on the trade to complete, but never got the resources that I had requested. It worked the second time I tried.

After I closed Aquatico for the first time, unfortunately I had no interest in opening it again and giving it another shot. The most enjoyable thing that happened while I played was all of the adult residents leaving not only my city, but also forgetting to take their kids with them. I think that the game has potential and wish the devs luck, but Aquatico in it's current state is definitely not for me and I have refunded it.

I normally avoid games that have a ton of hype when they first launch because it's a chance that later down the road the game is either no longer popular, unsupported, or just left in an unfinished state. Valheim is none of these. There is still content in the works, the game is presently significantly more polished than plenty of other early access titles, and it is a very enjoyable experience. I wish I had purchased Valheim earlier than I had.

There is a ton to love in Valheim. I enjoy the graphics, the atmosphere, the music (even if a little repetitive at times), the exploration, and especially the building. It is very easy to see this game as it presently is as a complete title (with the exception of Mistlands which is coming very soon). I really like the art style of the game. The graphics aren't impressive in the sense of realism by any means, but it doesn't need to be, Valheim really fits into it's own category of impressive visuals.

I would however hope to see some things in the future. I think that a couple more ambient music tracks could definitely be beneficial. The combat is very enjoyable as it is, but I would like to possibly see more variation on some enemies or enemy attacks as they are very predictable. Finally, I would love a bit more for structure building parts and a bit of decor.

If you are looking for an enjoyable title and it looks like Valheim would interest you, I definitely recommend it. Bonus points for presently only being 1.2GB.

Cult of the Lamb is an interesting title. When I first played the demo, I knew I would end up purchasing it. The premise is simple, build a cult, crusade to gather supplies and followers, kill the boss, return to your cult, repeat. It is a simple gameplay loop that I personally find enjoyable with some other tidbits here and there.

Overall the game is an great title. I love the art and design, the music is fantastic, and the gameplay is pretty easy to get the hang of. There are however some issues, most have been fixed since the games launch, but in my case, I was not able to collect one of the heretic hearts and even after released a fix for this I am still not able to do so. While that is not that game-breaking, it is somewhat annoying. Fortunately they are still working on the game and have been sending out patches since launch.

I would love to see is Steam Workshop support in some way or form. The community is sure to be capable of making very cool things for this game! Another feature that I think would be great if added is some kind of infinite crusade option where the cult manages itself while you are away, you get stronger while the enemies get significantly stronger.

I personally got 30hrs of enjoyment out of this title by just going at a leisurely pace and eventually getting all of the achievements. There is a roadmap button on the main menu that implies more content is possibly to come, so I'd definitely say that Cult of the Lamb is worth your time if it looks like something that interests you.

Also, I love that there is a button to just Baaaaaaa. A completely needless feature that I was very happy to discover!

Firstly, I want to say that I haven't played this game since launch but do intend to return to it.

ICARUS at launch was good and I did enjoy it (hunting is extremely satisfying, base building too), but I honestly would have left a negative review at the time. There were multiple glaring issues that I just couldn't look past. For every thing I would find that I really liked, I would find something else that I disliked. I'm not sure if all of the issues have been fixed yet at this time and don't even remember what some of them were. But I'm leaving a positive review now because I have been paying attention to the weekly update notes and it really does seem that the developer is hard at work fixing issues and even listening to what the players want. In the past 2 updates (#12 & #13) they have fixed my main complaints regarding the talent and blueprint trees and plenty of other things.

While I would absolutely argue that the game was not released in a finished 1.0 state and I disliked the devs saying otherwise, I feel that I like the way the game is headed and it is currently significantly more of a finished product now. Definitely keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to what comes next.

Subnautica: Below Zero is overall a really good experience. Not quite as good as the original but definitely worth playing all the same. The things I enjoyed in the first game are still present here for the most part. The base building has been improved, unique creatures and biomes, a decent soundtrack. Something additional that I enjoy in Below Zero is that our character isn't a silent protagonist. There are definitely a couple spots here and there that I could nitpick, but they're such minor things that it doesn't matter.

For my main complaint with Below Zero, it's the same as the first game, no Steam cloud support or alternative solution such as autosaves or multiple saves with the ability to roll back in case the most recent corrupted. I had an issue with the first game along these lines and I imagine it would be possible in this title as well.

There isn't really much more for me to add that hasn't been said by others already. Generally a fun title and definitely worth checking out.
