🎮 Gameplay is superb, but beware DLC bugs & frustrations

The main game delivers a fantastic experience: combat is smooth, stylish and deeply satisfying — just what you expect from an Ezio game.
I also loved the new den defense tower-defense style base takeovers — fresh and engaging in the classic Assassin’s Creed framework.

🎵 And the music? Absolutely divine. From the very first moment, the soundtrack sets a perfect tone — emotional, powerful, unforgettable. Jesper Kyd and Lorne Balfe crafted an atmosphere that stays with you long after the credits roll.

💣 The addition of bombs brought something new and creative to the gameplay. Crafting and using different bomb types added tactical depth and gave the game a unique twist.

🌆 The atmosphere is fantastic — Constantinople feels alive, immersive, and culturally rich.
🖼️ Graphics still look impressive for a 2011 title — great animations, architecture, and lighting.

🐎 But sadly, horses are gone. Unlike AC2 or Brotherhood, you can’t ride them in the city. It’s a downgrade that makes travel feel slower and the world less open.

🧩 As for the DLC — “The Lost Archive” and Desmond’s Journey — they’re highly divisive. The gameplay is a jarring switch to first-person puzzle-platforming, often frustrating.
Still, The Lost Archive has moments of horror-like tension and gives some cool lore on Subject 16.

⚠️ Steam version issues (2024)
A recent Steam update removed or broke access to both "The Lost Archive" and Desmond's Journey.
You’ll need manual fixes or old files to restore them — a ridiculous problem in 2025.

✅ Pros
⚔️ Smooth and cinematic combat
🏰 Den defense missions add unique gameplay
💣 Bomb crafting system adds tactical depth
🎵 Outstanding soundtrack
🌆 Gorgeous setting and atmosphere
🖼️ Graphics still hold up well
🧔‍♂️ Strong emotional ending to Ezio’s story

❌ Cons
🐎 No horses — completely removed from gameplay
🧩 Desmond & Lost Archive gameplay is divisive
🌀 First-person puzzle sequences feel disconnected
🧱 Steam version (2024) removed major DLC — requires manual fixes

🎯 Final verdict:
A fantastic and emotional conclusion to Ezio’s journey with deep gameplay, masterful music, bomb-tastic mechanics, and immersive world design.
While some of the side content misses the mark — and modern Steam issues are annoying — the core game is an unforgettable ride.
💯 Highly recommended, especially for fans of classic Assassin’s Creed.

The plot is interesting,
there are not enough weapons,
it is optimized for modern PCs, I liked the action,
but the controls are a bit complicated.
9 out of 10

Completed 100%, liked it. Interesting mini games, design. It's somewhat similar to the game It Takes Two.
I recommend it for cooperative play! 9 out of 10.
Why 9 out of 10 because there are lags of up to 10 fps in some places.

The game is ok at first, but towards the end it's stuffy.
It's not clear where to get tasks, they just don't appear.

Unfinished part, there are bugs, but not critical, hordes of zombies are made very stupidly, constantly appearing in front of you.
6 out of 10 game points
