One of the most challenging and most satisfying rhythm games that has you coming back for more. Many different playstyles to master (4B, 5B, 6B, 8B) with their own patterns. Key hits relay noise for note placement to assist in correcting proper notes. The game offers a challenge that gives you a sense of accomplishment. Songs range from 1 star to 15 star difficulty. Most of the time spent playing will be in freestyle (picking single songs).

I was initially discouraged when I was first exposed to DJMAX, and felt as if the game was too hard. Now 100 hours later I am sitting at an average of 10* max combos in patterns. Missions are for those who want the true challenge -- but are still a bit difficult to me. (20 missions cleared at time of review).

Best rhythm game money can buy and only purchase DLC on big sales, as they go discounted for approx. 50-66% off. Only cons about the game are the always online connection and invasive cheat system to play.
