Core concept is great, story is good but the endgame is a little lacking. Changes are on ongoing so this may improve, meanwhile there is many hours of enjoyment to be had here for those into Dune and its Lore.

Tons of fun stomping around in Big Mechs. Good with the extra DLC's otherwise a little sparse. Even better when modded with the workshop (YAML for the win). The tactical elements are more in the configuration of the mechs rather than the battles themselves as once you are in the bigger mechs the options for evasion and runing for cover become somewhat problematic. Choose your weapon systems and manage your heat wisely...

Hauntingly beautiful despite Lo-Res art. While not groundbreaking, the depth and care that have gone into this game make it outshine the competition. A somewhat clumsy build system is the only negative thing that I can say about it; but that is really more of a niggle. Combat is interesting and bosses can be a challenge. Crafting is straight forward but requires a mix of exploration and combat to get the resources needed to progress. As an early access game, it has far more depth, mechanics and gameplay than many fully complete games and I am looking forward to how this game develops further.

The best survival sim I've played. Building a colony of misfits ranging from the incompetent to the psychotic was never more rewarding. Great options for difficulty and progression with a host of well supported community mods to enhance an already outstanding game. You can lose literal days in this game - it should come with a health warning. Adult themes, hard and sometimes infuriating but always entertaining. Why does my miner decide to go on a drinking binge and wander around naked in the snow... Ahhh! such great stories emerge from conflict, passion, infidelity and psychosis all while trying to survive a hostile world. Brilliant.
