The french should really just stop what they are doing and make video game related media, they seem to be really good at that....

Shadow of the erdtree on the surface is a pretty solid expansion, but is being limited by a few mechanics and its pretty empty open world.

Most of its bosses are very fun and enjoyable but after a few bosses you quickly realize EVERY boss is just a: im entering phase 2, RANDOM ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GO, and while some bosses just enhance their already existing combat pattern, some just change into having multiple arena wide nukes.

While I dont think SoTE is difficult trough and trough, I did not really find the "NORMAL ENEMIES KILL ME IN 2 HITS" as some have complaint about, I did personally think the removal of soul leveling as a valid way of getting stronger to be less enjoyable, and while exploration to get stronger is a very cool thing, Bosses still rewarding you with nearly half a million souls a pop does sometimes disappoint when all you get out of it is 3 HP.

World exploration for me felt really annoying due to how certain places are only accessible due to finding RANDOM HOLES in the ground or a cave not really seeable on the map making getting around the shadow realm pretty damn frustrating at times, if your first idea of getting all the map fragments before doing anything else is something you like todo after entering the dlc, ain't happening sadly, the map has so many elevations between the layers that a lot of the time you just run around for a way to get up, without a clear view of where to do so, just to find out you need to find a cave behind a water fall, run around the entire map, or find a hidden staircase behind a hidden ladder. While exploration is rewarded getting from point a to point b feels a bit off.

The music in this DLC is exceptional from the first boss you will mostly encounter to the last, the music time absolutely banged it out of the water!

While some of the new weapons are cool, from what i've seen or heard a lot of them are quite disappointing when it comes to damage output while having cool move sets as a whole.

the sherdtree mechanic is a pretty smart way of letting people enter the DLC before beating the elden beast while not feeling completely useless though, however I personally wish these shards were given after more of the main story bosses as well and not just plopped on a random corpse in a set of ruins where you will only find it and MAYBE another smithing stone or gloveword

The performance issues also do not help the DLC, as since the DLC went live the games frame rate has tanked, and while my 3070 isn't the newest anymore, it not having issues before the DLC into having noticeable FPS drops when a dragon does as much as breathe as fire isn't great, I Personally was not sure if i would be able to beat the final boss due to severe Frame drops during the final fight.

while there was a bunch i did enjoy, from the beautiful locals and huge set pieces to some of the new bosses being very fun "dances" This DLC left me with a sour taste in my mouth after the ending and will most likely not be revisiting this any time soon

oh also spiders with tails, no they arent scorptions , and no IM NOT dealing with them

Risk of rain returns is a massive improvement on everything that the original had to offer, from not having to KILL everything in a stage, to the character ability unlocks... and most of all, steam join multiplayer

since the original risk of rain hit the age of 10 the game required port forwarding to be played with friends. just like ror2 this game lets ya join with the click of a button!

If you enjoyed RoR2 and want something a little less chaotic, or simply want to learn about the series past. Pick this game up! its 15 euros at best!

As of right no, no. you might have seen most of the other reviews. But this is a 70 euro game that runs at a SNAILS pace with about 10 FPS during hunts....

Was looking forward to this so very much, what a massive let down

NOTE: Playtime not accurate to actual playtime

So Fraymakers right now is an interesting one, Ive played for about 2 hours with a friend using the online function for the first 45 minutes, But it just Didn't feel right. We decoded to boot up Parsec and try it AND MAN. it went from a slog to some of the most high speed fun i've had in a while.

However, I think the 18 euro price tag for a platform fight with Mediocre to bad online(even with RBNC) A cast of ATM 4 playable characters all 4 of which aren't finished yet is a LOT. While the assists are fun and plenty and ones like the crewmate/imposter when used and succeeds are super hype.

I definitely think this game required way more time in the oven at least a month or 2/3

Luckily the community is already working at porting characters from obscure games like Pokemon Type Wild and more popular games like the SSF characters, so there is still plenty of fun to be had.

But why am I recommending it, Well its simply because i personally see amazing potential in this game, and right now its doing what IndiPogo failed to do. and I hope to see some absolute KILLER characters in the future

If you are willing to spend the 18 bucks and boot up parsec with a few friends, this is still a super fun time!
