We perceive things as likelihood because we make the comparisons of what has and has yet to happen, therefore we apply this precedent of difficulty (which isn't necessarily something bad as it does give us the context of understanding the actual size of things).

After my death, I know that the whole context of existence to my view will be eliminated as if all were destroyed (even though it wouldn't actually be) and a whole new universe with new rules, new concepts, new minds to ponder themselves will exist both in an eternity locked in an infinitely likely and unlikely state.

That, to me, is the true fate of life after death.
