Literally such a fantastic game. I'll be honest, I found this game at the depths oft the Steam Demo Display week and holy did it look fun. Between the day I downloaded it and the day that it came out officially, I managed to clock about 20 hours in the demo along with playing other games, just because I enjoyed it so much. I would play it in class and at work and it would help keep my mind busy enough to not fall asleep lmao.

Seriously a great game and worth every penny. I will say, though, y'all made some of these artifacts pretty rough to get lmao, but I'm here for it.

Definitely a must have for the steam library, just watch those recommended specs, the game is a little heavier to run than it lets on lmao

Great game!

OVERALL -- if you would like the game, then feel free to get it, but if you aren't a hardcore/veteran/highly interested fan of the Harry Potter universe, then I would tell you to be prepared to be a little lost with some of the functioning, references, and/or locations, etc.
IF YOU WANT A MORE DETAILED DESCRIPTION AS TO WHAT I MEAN, THEN KEEP READING... ->

If I'm being honest, this game is fantastic. On PC, visually it *was* a little underwhelming and really unstable, but with the recent stability patches and gameplay improvements, it has gotten a lot better. I'm addressing that first as I know a lot of people may be questioning that as of right now (Mar. 2023) because the game was really rough to play on at launch.
AS FOR THE STORY AND OVERALL GAMEPLAY -- its fun. I don't recommend the game for anyone who isn't either a hardcore/veteran/highly interested fan of the Harry Potter universe as, since this game takes place about 100 years before that timeline takes place, it can be very difficult to follow or understand the dynamics/significance of some things like certain locations, lore pieces, people, etc. -- even just the small things down to someone's last name, or an easter-egg that is cool.
Personally, for me, I know a lot about the series and it was really fun seeing links and ties between the two stories in the universe, but also there were somethings that I personally didn't like (*strictly out of personal opinion*) such as: The moving staircases weren't like the movies, the location of the Forbidden Forest isn't where it should be [in relation to the movies and some info in the books], and the simplicity of some of the spell names essentially just being verbs with an "-no" or "-o" at the end (this mainly goes for a lot of the spells that we haven't seen in the movies, but if there's lore ties then I would understand it).
AS FOR COMBAT -- it is really fun and fluid. There really isn't much to say on it because it is fantastic as is imo.

Have fun, and good luck! :)

its pretty fun. I can't speak too much on it bc i usually only play the snipers and shotty's gamemode but most of the other gamemodes are pretty fun. watch out on most of the maps for gamemodes like snipers and shotty's bc there are a *lot* of sneaky angles. guaranteed tho, if you find those angles before anyone else your def gonna top frag

**PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO PLAY DESTINY OR BUY ANY OF THE DLC'S**
MY REVIEW AND OUTLOOK ON THE GAME HAS SINCE CHANGED CONSIDERING I PLAY MUCH MORE OFTEN AND MUCH MORE FREQUENTLY NOWADAYS. THIS WAS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW:

Great game!! little content... = s*!@ game lmao. If youre a free to play player and are not looking to spend smt like $30 on each of the dlcs and/or expansions then dont expect a whole lot of content... PvE-wise. Its fun to hop in and mess around for a little bit, maybe do some bounties and a mission here and there, but overall there isn't much content for a F2P player unless you like PvP, in which case... its PvP. Basically like COD, just destiny style. As an F2P PvE player, myself, I've found that once you get to a certain point you no longer have really anything else to do in the game other than make a new character or play PvP, because your only other options at that point (in PvE) is to do bounties, raids, dungeons, or masterwork your gear (as well as go for god rolls on gear but sometimes it can take a while, and others it doesn't). All of these things are either super grindy or just get boring after 1-3 playthroughs/successful attempts. It's enjoyable for what it is, but I don't think you should expect a whole lot of content after you reach the 'Hard-Cap'

MY NEW REVIEW:
So as someone who really put themselves through the ringer in this last season trying to do as many 'firsts' as possible while also still juggling school and work, I find D2 significantly more enjoyable. Yes, of course, my original opinion in that "once you get to a certain point for your character you end up just not having much to do other than do some seriously grindy, self made goals," however, depending on how often you play and how invested you are that could either take several days, weeks or even months. For me, as opposed to content creators or hardcore shweats, I don't play a lot in comparison so this season it took me up until the last couple weeks (about a week ago now and about week 11 or 12 in the actual season itself) to hit that point, AKA 'Power-Creep.' Up until then, I would definitely say that the game kept me entertained and on the grind, though not a 'I want to quit' grind. Keep in mind though, this season I started do a lot of firsts, so I ended up getting things like the Season Pass, and doing things for the first time like getting in-game Seals and Titles, solo-ing dungeons, playing Trials of Osiris, and playing Grandmaster Nightfalls. To be honest though, and I will say this based on the current new player experience and what I have seen so far, there is either going to be too much to do or not enough, and no matter at what point you hit either of those feelings, you are then met with the massive barrier to entry of paying money to get all the DLC's which is around $200 at base unless they were to all go on sale. Of course it is really up to you how much you play or if you get any of the DLC's but I would say, if you want to, just wait for another sale. There is plenty to do with friends in the game as an F2P player it just takes you a little longer to get certain things or to certain goals. But what's more to say besides that, is that even if you do buy the DLC's, you're still getting thrown into a world of which you don't know whats going on or who any of these vendors are that you're talking to because there IS NO RECAP of anything that has happened story wise or about the fact that you and the planet that you live on along with the "god" planet that you worship have almost died like 8 times now, and you also have no idea how to play the game because the new intro mission teaches you only about abilities and stuff and nothing about gun play, match game, weapon perks and stats, armor coordination and crafting, weapon mods, materials, who this random guy named Shaw is or how you even got to the place that you're in now, etc. etc. etc. ETC.!! You see my point...

Now if anyone just read that and is still interested and wants to know my personal opinion on what to buy first out of all the DLC's, this is my ranking Best --> Worst, based on overall quality, utility (how much of my everyday is actually affected by any of the DLC's and what they have), activities, and story (if you're interested at all):

The Witch Queen
The Anniversary Update
Shadowkeep
Beyond Light
Forsaken

And then, of course, I would probably say get season passes, though I would most likely put that somewhere either just before The Witch Queen or just after The Anniversary Update as the season passes are really nice, they give you access to a lot of materials, armor, armor and weapon skins, and what ever exotic (the rarest tier of weapon or armor in the game) and event/activity is linked to the season pass.

I hope this helped anyone, and if it didn't I can't really blame you. GG's and I hope you get into this world and universe that so many people have fallen in love with if you haven't already!
