Early Access Review
It's early access. It needs a lot of work. I expect they will get there at some point, when that happens I'll update this review.

Pros:

- WASD movement is very nice. I consider this a huge upgrade, it does allow for more quick precision in movement (which you will absolutely need since you need to avoid a lot of attacks and abilities)

- Difficult boss fights. I really enjoy this. Bosses require you to learn their mechanics. There is no facerolling here.

- Art! The enemies are amazing! I've died at least once looking at how cool some enemies are. The artwork for this game is fantastic.

Cons:

- Currently, the game is not balanced.

- The talent tree is watered down to the point of worthlessness. Too many travel nodes. A lot of the nodes are for extremely niche playstyles. WHERE'S THE DAMAGE? There's so little damage on the talent tree. Everything remotely good comes with a downside. This includes the ascendancies.

- Item drops are far too scarce. I want to feel rewarded for my efforts and currently I do not.

- There's not enough variety in the skills available, especially at low levels. If you don't like the skills available; you're out of luck. Too many skills locked behind higher levels. Every character feels like they're forced to choose between the same three skills and use that for a significant period of time. This didn't feel as punishing in PoE1 because you gained levels in that far quicker.

- This is the worst version of a crafting system I have seen in a very long time. Using the crafting orbs on gear is no different than picking up items off the ground. You have absolutely no control over improving an item beyond using much more rare crafting orbs on an item. Transmute orb, augment orb and then maybe risk regal orb an item and if you have currency to burn you can gamble with exalted orbs. Didn't get anything useful? Toss! This is no different than id-ing items off the ground. Why even bother?

- SLOOOOOOOOWW, every area is huge and you will be slowly walking through everything trying to find your way around. Movement speed is rare and precious. If you manage to get some count yourself lucky. I felt like the slowness was artificially inflating my gametime. I don't expect to rush through the game in a few hours like PoE1 speedrunners but this is ridiculous. They went overboard slowing the game down.

Final thoughts. GGG has made a great looking game that delivers a lot of tedium for no payoff. I hope they collect a lot of feedback from the players and develop a much better product going forward.

Have thousands of hours in the base game with one planet and no space.
This adds multiple planets and space travel.
Worth it.

While I'm not a big fan of things like concentration spells, or extremely limited amount of spell slots (these are problems of fifth edition). This is currently the best D&D game that has ever been created. I am still enjoying my time with this game and I look forward to the content that gets produced for this game (We still have to get to level 20!).

Kenshi is best described as a single-player open world/sandbox squad-based RPG. It's like if you took Fallout/Morrowind, Rimworld, some light survival elements and mixed those together with the spice of an Akira Kurosawa samurai film. This is one of those games where you are likely to spend many hundreds of hours playing.

The world is massive, dangerous and desolate. You start out alone with barely anything aside from your name. In your time you will need to find recruits to join you, as your survival will rely upon strength in numbers. Often times the enemies you will face will outnumber you and you will have to run away, otherwise you will end up enslaved or food. But even if you're enslaved it does not mean the end of the game, just a set back.

Buy a house in a safe town, or build your own outposts, research new technologies, craft every item you will ever need, farm your own food, steal shopkeeper's goods or sneak through an enemy stronghold. Set up trade caravans, fight off religious zealots, there is so much to do.

A few cons about this game:

1. It can be difficult to actually see enemies coming since there is no highlighting of any characters except the ones you control so when you are playing zoomed out (to get the largest overview) you're essentially watching for moving pixels heading towards your characters if you want any chance to react in time. As a result I end up keeping the game paused more often than I otherwise would making every action take far much longer just so I can be safe.

Often if you can afford it, it's better to just hire mercenaries while you go about your activities; allowing you to let them be your early warning system for combat and even if the mercenaries aren't able to fight off whatever threat, their sacrificial meatshields will at least give you the time you need to run away.

2. While there is a very basic tutorial (and ingame help system); there is otherwise a very steep learning curve As a result I spent a lot of time checking resources online with questions that I wasn't able to figure out through the game itself.

3. Thirdly this is debatable whether it's considered a con, but many things the game throws at you are unpredictable unless you have played the game before (ie. building in certain areas means you will get attacked by enemies you didn't even know existed). Again, it's nice that the developers have these added touches of surprise to the world but you can feel somewhat blindsided when they happen.

This game is addictive as hell. The hilarious and absurd situations you can get yourself into. It can be a puzzle game or an action game, or both all at once. I like to think of it as an "infiltration simulator", but you have options to go about the scenarios in any method you have the options available to you. I'm having a lot of fun! Definitely worth it.

I enjoy the game, I see glimpses of small ideas; things that I wish I had in Pokemon.

There's some small things that I prefer in this game ie. the stamina system over simply having a set amount of power points (even though it's a little odd I can't increase the maximum stamina - perhaps I have not progressed enough). Also being able to customize and change what attacks I want to use for a particular nexomon is fantastic. Every nexomon in your party has inherent XP share.

This game is well polished in appearance, nice graphics and character sprites are all high quality. The artwork captures the Pokemon aesthetic while small touches make it their own. The combat feels much like you'd expect from a Pokemon game (though you should learn the Nexomon's move chart since it's not the same as Pokemon).

However there's a few small issues I have with it.

The dialogue windows can be painfully slow at times. I would like to be able to skip dialogue (and/or increase text speed) if that's my choice, as mostly the dialogue I would be skipping is things I have read many times already (like when healing at the center). Moving around can feel very slow as well. Overall the slowness is the biggest issue I have with the game.

I need more descriptive text on the attack moves. Does a specific attack have a higher than normal chance for the enemy to evade? It seems sometimes this is a trade-off for certain attacks but I have no way of knowing until I'm using it. I also have no way of knowing the strength of a particular attack until I've used it in comparison to other attack moves I've learned.

Lastly, some of this isn't easy to point out specifics but there's some unintuitive controls when interacting with certain parts of the UI. Sometimes things work the way you expect they would but there's the odd things here and there. My guess would be this is due to the port over to PC. I did notice that there's a "are you sure?" box for running away in combat and also after selecting items. For a PC version of the game these are unnecessary.

Great colony simulator.

You have to manage every part of your "duplicants" needs; oxygen, water, food, a place to sleep, temperature, air pressure, a germ free environment and make the necessities be sustainable on an asteroid. Sounds complicated (and it can be) but learning new concepts and how to accomplish these things can be picked up very easily. It's a very fun game if you like simulators.

This is absolutely my game of the year. It's addictively fun to build automated factories! Try it you won't be disappointed!
