A game you can sink literally hundreds of hours into and it not get too repetitive, has some obviously Todd howard "it just works" bugs but doesnt make playing the game any less enjoyable and can even make it funny, I think having the GOTY edition or just buying nuka world and far harbour seperate is a must as they do create a different feel and add something new to the game after spending 100 hours in the original game. Overall a very good game, if you do care alot about bugs or creation club problems id give it a miss but those two factors really dont affect the game, some complaints about base building but overall I wasnt too into base building extensively and just did in some parts, theres alot of good mods you can get which definitely help the game out but in all honestly are not always needed.

After buying this game in early access for something like £20 and playing a decent amount of hours on the game before the full release, I can say this game has come a long way. I completed the full game after release in around 70 hours and im guessing you could play even longer if you explore and check out every single part and completing all the side quests. Theres a good story and you really feel for Arthur (the main character). I understand the reason for adding the two other playable characters in the act two and three, but I never really felt as much of a connection with the later two. But I fully realised that exploring the areas as three seperate people with different missions and perspectives in the same timeline was interesting and fun. As I completed the full game a couple of weeks ago before the first real patches my views on some of the sidequests being unplayable due to bugs is kind of irrelevant but even with one or two side quests missing the game felt full and really enjoyable, id definitely recommend people to play and im looking forward to some of the future DLC with the game...

After 3 YEARS ive come back to this game after getting a proper gaming laptop, I replayed the whole game and all the DLCs. At time of my original review id played 70 hours and completed game, second time around about 70 including the 3 DLCs, which is a crazy amount of gameplay, id assume you could get a good amount of enjoyable hours even rushing through. With this game at MAX settings its pretty stunning even after the years since its been out especially the DLCs. I admit the gameplay in the original game can get repetitive if you do get easily bored by travelling around or constantly having to fast travel. If this game was made again that would be my only request is the map being too big with options to fast travel being very same same which gets repetitive. Id highly recommend this game still even 4 years after my initial review its just a brilliant game with a good style, Ive seen some reviews mention the "bad game design and choices" but theyre either on some 2004 laptop lowest settings or blind, this game on max settings is fairly beautiful and the design choices literally are what youd expect from a game trying to look like a 1950-60 era britian, even on my old laptop on lower settings its not exactly a bad looking game. Having one of the highest gameplay times of this game that I can see of this games reviews I can say I never got a full game breaking bug, as said I played this game before initial release and only ever had one bug break the quest system, but that was literally pre release so I have no idea what these people are doing to the game to break it these days lol. Anyway highly recommend, full game on sale with DLC right now is about £7, anything under £10 is a bargain for full game, but even higher if youve got a PC that can run Max settings is a great buy.

Definitely wont regret buying this game, played for a decent amont of time to get a feel and progress throughout the game, considering its still early access the game has alot to offer, just hope they add alot more things and this game could be even better than it is now, some more crafing and possibly more goals to acheive so you are able to craft and build as your goals are acheived or something along those lines would be good, more villages, more types of village with different buildings and loot, definitely add more to the snow land as its basically empty and no real challange or point in going into the snow. overall definitely recommend the game to anybody still thinking about buying and with developers who actually seem to care, this game only seems to be looking better.
