Absolutely rocks, crazy how it's in early access and you get a great amount of content and replayability for $29.99. Also seems to run incredibly well, especially for the graphics quality. Played in the beta and there's a few things that changed, but it seems like mostly new features and improvements. I also love the atmosphere, art style, and humor in this - some great graphics along with some great environments, paired with some unique characters that just ramble about hilarious insane stuff. I haven't played much solo, but I'd definitely recommend playing with friends. I haven't really seen this gameplay loop or a lot of the ideas before (especially things like hostile NPCs disguised as your friends beating you up), and I can't really see it getting old. Super fun. I LOVE DROPPING INNOCENT PEOPLE INTO MEAT GRINDERS BY THEIR FEET! OR ELECTROCUTING SNITCHES TO DEATH! OR PUSHING (MANNEQUIN) CHILDREN INTO A GIANT GRINDER BY WAY OF BOAT RIDE VEHICLE!

Very fun multiplayer game made by a few people that are very passionate about the Puppet Master movies. I wouldn't dismiss game just because it's low budget - you can tell it has a lot of work going into it and they really care, and after all, the movies were really low budget anyway. The asymmetrical mode is actually pretty balanced once you get a hang of it, and since it's an open beta: if you encounter any issues, you can report them in the October Games discord. Add Dollman!!

You might not think it looks good (it's not super polished as it's made by 1 or 2 people), but there's a lot of charm to it, and if you can get a game going with friends you'll have a fun time. Especially with the proximity chat. Some nice homages to horror movies/franchises, especially if you're a fan of Charles Band/Full Moon stuff (e.g Puppet Master), since there's literally licensed characters in the game (might only be Subspecies). A lot of the characters feel like Spirit Halloween animatronics, or Goosebumps characters if you're into that. Definitely worth a shot, you can get it on sale for a whopping 99 cents.
