So I have played the first 2 Fossil Fuel games and while the first game was a little rough it had charm. The second game was a step up from the first in forms of linear narrative and vibe in general. This demo felt like a step back from Fossil Fuel 2 however if they are teasing an open world experience I will keep this game on my radar. I am hopeful for this game but I have some minor criticisms.

Mainly the demo definitely holds your hand a bit much. When I activate a lever or open a secret door I felt the small cutscenes were a bit long and could be shorter and less frequent. As well as when you pick up the yellow keycard it straight up tells you where to find the next thing leaving no time for the player to piece things together on their own

Boss fights are also a small issue for me as it felt like my guns (which it gave me plenty and tons of ammo) were useless. Many enemies dropped in a single arrow or bullet and by the end I was putting my ammunition in the storage as it was filling my inventory. Making the bosses either having a gimmick with electrical water or being weak to C4 makes them trivial a little bit. Hopefully bosses in the full game allow you to actually use your guns and they aren't all impervious to them.

Overall this comes from a place of complete love and I hope to see this game succeed. I enjoyed the first two games and will more than likely pick this game up when it comes out regardless and wish nothing but success to the developer!

If you are questioning if this demo is worth the time it is solid and free so give it a try. Looking forward to the full release

Honestly it is ridiculous how good every aspect of this game is. The soundtrack slaps harder than my mother, the guns feel floaty in the best way, the spells combine perfectly, the bosses are well designed, the comedy is corny and cute, and the difficulty ramps up for those looking for a challenge. This is going to be an instant classic among games like Risk of Rain 2, Deep Rock Galactic, and the like.

The most insane part? This is only a DEMO

Decent combat, looks good and runs well
My only gripe is that there are only two dinosaurs, 4 upgrades, and like 4-5 maps
They have posted in the last month that a big update coming with lots of content so I am definitely willing to recommend this game because while a tad bit basic it was still fun to play. Also for $5 this game will be worth it once it gets the update the dev has posted about!

While this game is a departure from the typical feel of Turok games it still is a solid entry in this franchise. The Remaster does SO MUCH JUSTICE to the original!!! The effort they put into this game to remaster it is insane because the source code was lost. For the effort alone of not only recreating the game from scratch to the update it and improve it you have earned my $30 and my thanks for bringing a piece of my childhood back from the dead.

If you have never played this game and enjoy Turok 1 & 2 then this game is worth it but be aware the game is pretty short. I clocked in 2 full playthroughs on hard mode in about 6 hours.

The first playthrough I was figuring out the levels and it took me about 3 and a half hours to beat it as Danielle and then I played it again immediately after and shaved off about an hour and beat the game on Hard with Joseph in about 2.5 hours.

I would buy this game again if I could just to support Nightdive for their effort in the remaster as this is truly how to do a remaster of a game. It may be a weird game but they did it so much justice as I said before.

Please do Rage Wars or Evolution next! <3

If you are looking for a good dinosaur game that has both the horror vibe and also the action shooter vibe then this is the safest money you could spend on an early access game. Not only is the game in a really good state but the devs interact on their discord super often and take community feedback into account. I couldn't recommend this awesome project any more honestly

Out of all the games I have played recently, this is definitely one of them

Pretty good models for almost all the dinosaurs, interesting story, the game worked minus a couple of small bugs, very interesting and kept me going.

Pros:
- Raptor animated really really nicely with a great model
- Inventory management was harder than I thought it would be in a good way
- Multiple endings made me want to see the other ending
- jump scares were well timed and not overdone
- Wilhelm scream included

Cons:
- When you expand your inventory with a backpack it wasn't super clear as it didn't show the extra slots until you needed them
- Boss fights were really underwhelming and definitely needed to be more threatening. They are all slow bullet sponges.
- A few times the game wasn't super clear about direction

Not only is the gameplay strategic and brutal.
Not only is the soundtrack perfect for the franchise.
Not only are the visuals fantastic.
Not only is the one of the best optimized games to release on PC this year
Not only is the story incredibly interesting and engaging.

But all of this comes together to be one of the best Aliens experiences you are ever going to play.

And if you just want a good use of $40 then this game is worth every single cent.

while the game has some optimization issues during the first pre order week this game is EVERYTHING that you could ask for out of a 40k game. These developers have made a labor of love to the universe getting the grand scale, personalities, visuals, sounds, and weight of 40k as perfectly as I could think of.

Visuals - phenomenal, industrial, gory, disgusting, like any hive city would be
Soundtrack - Slaps like a kinky lover going between cathedral organs and choirs to light dubstep remixes during intense moments
Gameplay - smooth, weighty, and just overall feels right
variety - similar missions structures with different variable mission types. Similar setup to deep rock galactic in this regard
voice acting - very over the top and fits perfectly. Characters have funny banter much like vermentide 2
