Since discovering DD1 a few years back I grew to love this franchise. DD2 was great, though I was disappointed that they never added splitscreen as promised (which is the main reason I play the series). Then comes the kickstarter for Awakened which I backed. Eventually got the EA access and was massively underwhelmed. The characters looked awful (still don't look good) and in general the game just isn't very polished. It somehow looks worse than DD1 and that was released almost 10 years ago.

Along comes 1.0 release. As far as I'm aware v1.0 means that the game is FEATURE complete, which the current release isn't. The splitscreen that was promised to be in release, isn't (was promised just a week ago!). The controller support is also awful. The gameplay with a XBONE controller seemed fine but I was unable to navigate any menus which seems like a super basic thing you should be able to do.
I see people are also mad that they've been lied to about wipes. Not playing much of the EA it doesn't affect me at all but the solution to 'not wiping' is to split the playerbase into 2 groups it seems.

It really amazes me how a team that got DD1 so right have managed to do so much wrong...

Early Access Review
This game had a lot going for it at release, but didn't keep hold of its playerbase, which was already very small to start off with. Unfortunately everybody gave up on it, and as such the Devs have too.

As a spiritual successor to Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, Planet Coaster is excellent.
It looks beautiful, sounds beautiful and for the most part, plays wonderfully too.
As always, there are downsides to this altogether brilliant game, mostly basic features that other RCT games had:
- Inability to sync coasters in stations
- Inability to build boomerang coasters
- Inability to build multiple stations (as well as building seperate entrances and exits)
- Clunky path building system

If you were not a hardcore fan of the RCT games and just enjoyed playing them casually, then this IS the game for you.
If you like to build real theme parks, then you may find yourself having a pretty frustrating time every now and then.

In conclusion, the game itself is fantastic, and is easily worth £30, but you may find yourself wanting more in certain aspects, although i'm sure Frontier will end up delivering missing feature in due course.

This is by far the best RPG game avaliable on PC. The gameplay is phenomenal, even more so when you realise how old it is. It still looks lovely, and has aged brilliantly. The dialogue is great and quite humerous in place (HK-47 mainly), and the choices that you're able to make in dialogue WILL make you feel bad at some point.

I've played the game through 9 times now, and am about to play through it again.
Do yourselves a favour and buy this game. Just make sure you have the time, as its not of these 6 hour long AAA titles we get nowadays.

Easily the most fun game I have ever played. So much more in depth than other MOBA's, and it looks amazing.
