I don't know. The incident happened on only one game, but it carried over to a total of seven games. I didn't even own 4 of those 7 games at the time.


Around 2016 I was playing TF2 on an offline bot server on tr_walkway_rc2. I was using the huntsman and thought it would be cool to boot up cheat engine to slow down time so I could hit more head shots and pin bots into the walls. It didn't work, and I woke up the next day with an alert saying I was VAC banned.

Offline bot servers, even custom ones you make, are always VAC secured, I had to make it VAC insecure with a command but failed to do so.
