There is one thing you MUST know before buying this game.
It is a survival game. And survival is number one. PVP comes in at a very distant second.
If you sprint everywhere and fight everything, you'll quickly find out that you're not an olympic athlete and probably run out of energy and that guy who only has his fists... is going to murder you with them. Then he'll eat you because he knows proteins and fats are more important than killing randoms.
If you're buying this game for PVP. Buy something else.

Also; there is a very steep learning curve. You wont know how to do everything on day one. Even if your day one is a full 24 hours of play. That's my favorite part of this game so far. So much information. And everything is equally important. Anyone who tells you it's easy to play, is the person you'll see on the SCUM reddit or Discord asking why they're always passing out, or why can't they stop defacating everywhere.

It's a well built game. And it's designed to make you mad.
From the perfect fall points with clear paths to where you started, all the way to the super counter-intuative control style and condescending narrator.
While I can handle all of that; what I can't handle is doing circles with my mouse that are 8 feet diameter and giving up simply because my hand is sore and my butthole is tired from being clenched.
8/10, wont play again.

A great idea for a game.
A couple reasons why I won't be playing again;
Cheaters are running rampant. Every match I get to the final 10 in, one guy picks everyone off in a few seconds.
Servers need to be region locked. People playing on NA servers with 3 seconds of lag because they should be on KR/JP is nonsense. People are bouncing all around, you can't win a close-range battle because they're moving like stop-frame-animation.
And then there is the player themself lagging. If I go into a building and want to pick up the shotgun. I should be picking up the shotgun, not touching the floor 12 times with no result while I'm being punched in the head by XiaohaoKang1111 and his 7 teaming cohorts in a solo game.

I thought this would be a lot like CoD, Battlefield or CS:GO in the way that the strong majority of players are immature, calling you a homosexual all the time, and not really taking things seriously. So I didn't really want to waste my money on it. It's just not my scene.

I'm glad I did buy it though.

The game is made in such a way that rushing and trolling isn't really viable because you will just die. There's no way for them to get satisfaction.

Two downsides. One big, one small.
The big one is the servers. Good god Ubisoft. it's like their servers are just a bunch of monkeys playing with abacusses.
The small one is the shield.

In the end. I say buy the game. You wont regret it.

Regardless of what you read on reddit and other sites, this game has a very promising future.
The developers are dedicated, and are always trying to please the community.

Keep in mind, when buying this game, that it is in alpha still. There are tons of problems. There might be something that will negatively effect the way YOU want to play this game. Updates and bug fixes are almost a weekly occurrence so patience is required.
