Soma, a beautiful story-driven game that displays why life is so important. Its focus on what it means to be human, which leads to such a heartbreaking conclusion. The characters are lovable and believable, with a little sense of hope, only for it to snatch it all away, just as soon as it was gained. This game brought tears to my eyes multiple times, and makes me appreciate my humanity just as much as i valued the safety of the main character, Simon. The setting, the tone - All of it has driven me to love this game.

I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone with a soul, and heavily insist going in blind. The scares are worth it, trust me. So please, experience this story for yourself if you can.

Joining a game seems region locked. Can't recommend for friends regions apart until further information is gathered.

ATLYSS, the rpg that i didn't know I'd enjoy so much. Even while in Early Access there are many things to do.
The gameplay loop is enjoyable, and combat is fun and satisfying. Especially when you learn the parry timings on the enemies.
The art is beautiful, and depending how you set the settings, it is either pixelated textures that look like the PS1 era. Or, you set it so textures are more smeared for a blurry goodness look from the N64 games.
The music is fun, and doesn't overstay its welcome to become repetitive due to the fast nature of the gameplay, and the addition of a day/night cycle.

In this point of time, and at this time of writing, i give the game 7.5 black holes out of 10



Edit, the Trial of the Stars is dumb and stupid, and should be avoided unless you like a good challenge, or until they change the knockback system and hitboxes so you can recover midair.

So, Persona 5 Royal. The RPG life sim game that took me a year to beat. This game is a wonderful roller coaster of emotions, that if i could, i'd experience all again.

In the life sim part you're taking care of your relationships with confidants, your teammates, and if you so desire - The romantic partner you hold so dear to your heart.

During the RPG element of the game, you find yourself in otherworldly domains thought up by either the public, or a dominating force manipulating the people on the outside. Be it either the metaverse, or the 'real' reality. The world feels against you for most of the time.

Now the story. Oh the story, how beautiful it is. A tug-of-war between the good, the bad, and something much worse. The Hero's fight back against society itself as it is corrupted from the shadows, pulling the strings on peoples hearts to get their way. So it is your job. The Phantom Thieves, to make your way to a realm made up entirely of one's distorted desires, and take it from them. In an act known as a 'change of heart'.

Now is the time i'd say the negatives, but i rather not think of them. I'll leave those to other reviewers.

All in all it's a great game, but not perfect. It has per say, stolen my heart. 9.5/10

(Please forgive my poorly constructed review. I merely wanted to update it since i have beaten the game.)

Picture this. You're riding your horse, there's a rock and tree a good distance apart, and you decide to ride through them. What happens:

A. You swiftly ride through them.

B. The horse jumps over the rock.

C. The Horse automatically drifts to the side and slams into the tree.

If you answered C, you're correct. Horses are dumb.

Never thought there'd be banging music in a game of animistic slaughter, but here we are.
