Warning: review was written based on impression of earlier beta version of the game, it might not feature some newer details, so the game is even better than is blatantly praised below

Game is very fun, has a lot of good stuff:
- Good and clever humour.
- Interesting mix of magic and modern world as a setting.
- Customisable difficulty you can change at any time. If you struggle with any bonus objectives you can lower difficulty to your liking.
- Defenestration. Throwing people out the window is fun, and if you don't think so yet, you will grow to enjoy it!
- Relatable and likeable characters, it's hard to pick favourite one.
- Interesting story that, each character has their own backstory that is revealed throughout the playthrough, you might relate to something. The main plot of investigation is also not difficult to follow, partially because it also has...
- Cork board map with red strings and pictures, you can move stuff around. Works as a good recap of the story so far in case you get lost with some details.
- Fun gameplay with multiple solutions to same rooms. Watched someone else play through the demo and saw completely different solution to pretty difficult optional goal. There isn't just one solution to each puzzle, but it also does not mean it is easy to find one. Coming up with some plan and executing it well feels really satisfying.
- While it looks like XCOM, you do not need to be worried about long term consequences of bad investments or anything like that. Every room's conditions are independent from last one. If your character gets wounded, they will be refreshed to full hp in next one. So it is more puzzle focused.
- Sillyness. In every aspects of game. On some levels you might find shooting a friend a viable strategy.
- Pretty good unexpected plot twists here and there, partially thanks to subverted expectations of some cliches.
- Optional bonus objectives which either add to challenge, or to replayability, since you have...
- Option to replay any mission from special menu, you can get better results by replaying with extra unlocked skills, or choose to replay with recommended amount of skills you have had at the time, up to you.
- Fancy hats. Complete optional objectives to unlock more outfits for your wizards.
- Music. Game has music. It is nice.
- Bonus levels, they are optional, and if you really enjoyed gameplay, you there is free extra content for you. Which also includes...
- Workshop support! You can create and play community created levels. Haven not been creative enough to create something good, so hopefully someone else of you will. *-*
The level editor is pretty simple to get into. You don't even need to bother much with decorating level with different stuff, you just place for example "obstacle" into some square, and every time the level is loaded, it will be filled with different decorative items around while function wise level will be the same. Though as of moment of release it seems to be missing some stuff.

- Although not a part of main game, in support pack you should have developer commentary that you can listen to by interacting with it throughout the playthrough. Looking forward to replaying the game and check it out too!

If you like humourous story, or puzzle games, or games with freedom of ways to complete the goal, or cool wizards, or other games of this developer, "Gunpoint" or "Heat Signature", you should love this game.
