You want balance TF2? We got balance for that!

UPDATE: The Throwback Fortress project is put on hold until we have the right plugins to make it possible. Using Whitelist.tf's method is a bit game breaking for the public. If any of you know any plugins that can whitelist weapons or if you know how to make a plugin of it please let us know. We'll bring you more news on the group and the entire project soon.

It's time to go back to the past when TF2 was fun and balanced for everyone. From the crew that created the Shendileers Awesome Server bring you a new TF2 server that involves stock weapons and gameplay balance. We welcome back our veteran players and welcome the F2P into a world that was once the TF2 we all remembered. So put away your pomsons and demoknight swords and get ready for a REAL game of TF2.

Basically what we are doing to bringing back the old tf2 on what it use to be and it's gameplay balanceness. Many people who have been playing tf2 since the very beginning (even open beta) have quit playing tf2 due to many changes it has made over the past few years...and hats. I know lots of you have many questions you want to ask about the server so feel free to ask us w/e about the group and server.

Throwback Fortress put on hold for awhile.

If you think the project is dead trust us it ain't. We are putting this project on hold because there are not many plugins that will whitelist weapons on the server and Whitelist.tf's dig does tend to break the balance. It disables auto balance and tends to not work properly on a regular game. We do know it's mostly for private tournament matches only as this is not recommended for the public matches.

We would love to keep this going, but we need your help. If you know any plugins that can whitelist/blacklist weapons then please let us know what the plugin is and how we install it. If you are willing to make a whitelist plugin then let us know and we'll be glad to have you make the plugin for us. May sound pretty damn tough, but it doesn;t hurt to try. If there is no way to have a whitelist mechanic other than the whitelist.tf then it may not be possible to proceed with the project as our main goal is bringing back the balance as it was back in 2007 - 2008.

Our server right now is no longer up for competitive stock gameplay, but once we get the ball rolling then we'll provide a new server for you guys and if this becomes successful in the future we might have multiple servers for multiple regions. Just remember that the US server is mostly the main server and for those who had lag back on the old server we apologize for not providing a server near you.

We would like you to help us out in the future if you really want to see this project happen. You can feel free to let us know if you want to help us out and we'll be glad to have you be part of the Throwback Fortress server project. We want to thank all of you for giving us your support and great feedback on the project. We hope to bring this back up as soon as we have the right materials to make this as we want it to be.

Server is now 24 slot

The server went from 32 slots to 24 slots. Less cluster ♥♥♥♥ and more balance. There are still more things we need to add on the server so more updates soon.

Also, Iclare is hosting a Throwback Fortress game right now. I'd be there, but I'm playing Payday 2 right now. Hope you all have fun.
