Since its founding in the Bat cave, The Tea bat's appreciation of tea society has provided a safe home for bats to share their love of the magical world of tea, without feeling ostracized from the rest of the bat community.

Hatcraft 2: Heart of the server

So we now have a Tea Bats TF2 server up and running. YOU SHOULD BE EXCITED BECAUSE I'M BLOODY EXCITED.

Its residing at: 85.236.101.18:38015 , so add that to your server favourites folks!

Right now its a fairly vanilla server settings wise - so 24 players with normal respawn. This is so we can get on the quickplay list. We may look to change this later when we get some regular folks in. Also right now its set to 'sv_pure 0', so all your custom skins and models will work.. unfornately this includes the cheaty ones, so I'll have to keep an eye on that (I'll look to change this to '1', but clanforge is being a ♥♥♥♥♥ about accepting whitelists and '2' is far to harsh)

I've also got some sourcemods working like rtv, class restricts and player scrambling (NO AUTOSCRAMBLE AT THE END OF ROUNDS YAY - touch wood). No nominate yet (again clanforge is being a ♥♥♥♥♥) but thankfully the rtv and end of map votes are randomized, so we should get some nice map variety.

Essentially what Im saying folks is keep patient with us. Its nowhere near perfect yet. But we really hope to get it right for a proper Grand-opening in the next week or two. I'll make an event tonight so we can have a lark about anyway.

Again, we would also like your help in considering what other stuff you want to get on the server, be it any favored mods, maps etc. This can be down to a favored map cycle to the slightly crazier stuff. So post it in the comments or tell us on the server please! Keep in mind it is ultimately down to me n Echo - especially her since she is paying for it :)

We want to really foster a great community thats up for fun events, so anything you can do to spread the word would be much appreciated. Thanks guys. :D

Hat Wars episode IV: A New Server.

Oh it has been too long fellow Tea bats. I feel like I've shamefully left you all to fend for yourselves in a bleak continuous day light world without tea (or alcohol).

Anyway some important news. Basically me and Echo are looking to start a Tea Bats TF2 server and generally expand the initially promising community we had here. This is obviously just in the works, but I wanted to open it up to you fine folks for suggestions of any custom maps,mods etc. you'd like to see there.

Keep in mind that this is a dictatorship round these parts and the final decision will lie with myself and Echo. Personally I'm looking for a 24 player server, with tweaked spawn settings (no instaspawn, sorry if you like ruining TF2 that way - Thats my veto) and all-talk at nights. But if you know anything good let us know in the comments. Your opinion is valued in this dictatorship... well before we march you off to a flogging at least.

Now all this isn't a slight against simiancage server, which has been the usual tea bat meeting place for a while and provided many a fun time. But lets not deny there as been some grumblings about the gameplay, rulership and some of the new regulars its been getting recently. Honestly though this server buisness is about really getting a great community for TF2 that enjoys playing with each other. We proud bats are not monkeys, we need a cave to call home :D
