Welcome to The Summerlands!

This is a smallish-medium 30 slot PvE ARK server on The Island map where the goal is to chill out, have fun, and make friends :) This server has certain boosted/altered settings (which will be detailed below), and is a no/anti-grief server: trolls and griefers WILL be banned with extreme prejudice.

This server is also mod-free (with the exception of Classic Flyers, because we ALL know that the flyer nerf was the most idiotic decision ever made...and Structures Plus, cuz it fixes all the stuff we all hate about structure building/placement ;P), and the admin(s) don't use their powers to make the game easier for themselves, meaning they grind and craft right alongside non-admin players. Downloads are also disabled-you start fresh on this server. However if you have a dino you've come to love on this server that you'd like to take elsewhere if/when you leave (or if you play on another server concurrently that allows downloads) *uploads* from Summerlands are enabled, as well as uploading of survivor data.

Please read the rules before joining or getting too involved on the server; they're there to ensure everyone has a good time, and will be enforced- ignorance is not an appropriate excuse for violations, and if you see a way to improve the server, be it feedback about my policies, server settings, or ideas for events, *please* do bring it up in the feedback forum. This is my first stint at being an admin/moderator, so anything to help improve things would be very much appreciated ^_^

Server stats:
6x Tame speed
1.25x XP gain
1.5x Harvest rates
10% increase to resource health (takes a couple more hits to kill rocks, trees, etc.)
Daytime passes 50% slower, night passes 30% faster than base rate
Map location enabled
Structure decay and auto-destroy enabled; timers have been boosted by 50% for "Demolish Allowed" and 35% for being auto-destroyed by the server.
Wild dino carrying by fliers disabled to prevent griefing and overly-easy taming methods.

Sigh, so, guys, I went to reboot my PC after properly shutting down the server...

And when I go to start it back up, I get an error message in the manager app saying 'Profile failed to load'. Which means I had to try and work the same wizardry I have in the past to fix it.

I *think* I got it squared away to that at least the server is back up, and I don't *think* there was any data loss....

But if there was, get in touch with me and we can discuss possible reimbursement for losses.

Sorry guys, this is beyond infuriating for me too, and to make it worse IDEK why it keeps happening. I hit up the server manager app devs to ask, but who knows what they'll say.

No worries, guys, this is gonna make ARK a LOT more enjoyable for everyone.

Structures Plus has been added as of 4pm EST today. Check out the page for a full list of what the mod adds, but in short: pretty much every single thing that's frustrating and we all hate about the building mechanics in game has been fixed or improved by adding standalone structures to your engram lists; as in, ramps now snap to pillars, piping/wiring is integrated into foundations, ceilings can snap to foundations, and so on.

I don't *think* I'll need to update engram points granted per level, since it seems like you can just choose the S+ ones instead of the vanillas, and I assume they cost the same.

Let me know if I'm mistaken, though, and I'll adjust accordingly.
