SteamApis v2 is now in public beta

Market Data API (new)
Aggregated pricing, sales, and buy-orders across 26+ third-party marketplaces, including Buff163, CSFloat, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Skinport, CS.Money, BitSkins, Waxpeer, SkinBid, and LisSkins. Search items, compare prices across marketplaces, and pull historical sales in one call. There's also a real-time WebSocket stream that pushes individual listings as they're detected, built for snipers, arbitrage tools, and price monitors.

Expanded Steam coverage

• Users: ban status, friends, groups, recently-played, per-game achievements, per-game stats
  
• Apps: live concurrent player counts, Steam Store rankings (topsellers, popularnew, specials, mostplayed, trendingfree), global achievement percentages, news, full stats and achievements schema, per-app changelogs
  
• Items: metadata, price history time series, changelogs, and bulk CDN price dumps for an entire app's market in one shot

Cleaner foundations

• Header-based authentication so keys no longer end up in logs, browser history, or referrer headers

• Consistent response envelope for single resources and paginated lists:

  and
  { success, results, cursor, hasMore }
• Steam ID parameters accept SteamID, SteamID3, or SteamID64 interchangeably
  
• Automatic request coalescing for duplicate concurrent calls

The earlier you migrate, the more time you have to catch edge cases while v1 is still a fallback.
