Unfortunately we have to inform you about a new ‘scam’ that’s currently terrorizing some Steam users. There are reports of people that have been scammed with a fake trading bot made by one or multiple scammers. These bots send a duplicate of the original offer you requested via our site but they leave out the bot’s items. When the user doesn’t realize it’s a fake trade and when they accept it eitherway, they basically send free skins to a random Steam account and there’s nothing that can be done.

To make it clear: you will still have to confirm the fake trade on your mobile device, so please, for your safety, confirm you’re dealing with one of our bots by checking their profile before accepting a trade at all. All our bots are moderator in the Steam Group of the site in question.
There’s multiple theories about how the ‘scammers’ can exploit actual Steam users trying to trade their skins:

1. You have a malicious or hacked browser extension that could be gaining access to your device and also to your trades.
2. You have clicked a malicious link on a website, this can go as far as a legitimate looking link sent through Facebook or a similar site.
3. Someone has gained access to your browser cache or cookies and used that to create fake trades.

To try and minimize the risk, perform following actions:

-Check all your browser extensions and remove any malicious looking ones or ones you never use.

Still, the best solution is to check every trade manually before accepting.
