The game fails to initialize Direct 3D. Says I need a driver that supports directx 11. I have a nVidia 780 GT. Not sure what to do

I have a pretty nice PC which plays other games on high.

Solution to 'FAILED TO INITIALIZE direct3d' is to turn off 'EXCLUSIVE FULLSCREEN'. But no solution to the game continuously crashing my GTX680 SLI machine, though. Unbelievable.

it says. Failed to initialize Direct3D! Make sure you have Directx 9 unstalled, and are running a graphics card that supports Pixel Shader 1.1. please help me.

Still giving me a "Failed to initialize direct 3D" message. I'm running a 3x1 portratit monitor setup that also won't support whatever their default resolution is.

hey all just installed this game on my wife's pc thru steam and when i launch i get an error stating failed to initialize direct3D. What do i do

It tells me that it failed to initialize direct 3d. the funny thing is when i first started up the game, it ran fine but now it wont work at all.
