Ah, if you upload one of your save files i can take a look

sorry for reviving a dead thread like this, but did that other user ever upload a GamePass save for you to take a look at? If not, would you still be willing to take a look?

I was able to successfully take a PS4 save, run it through Save Wizard (to decrypt it), and open it in KiameV's Final Fantasy PR Save Editor. I used version 1.2.2 due to issues with newer versions attempting to load the bestiary (1.3.0 will fail because there is no "dp3fS2vqP7GDj8eF72YKqbT7FIAF=e7Shy2CsTITm2E=" file for the PS4 or Xbox PC version).

Using 1.2.2, I saved the PS4 file as a PC file (which is intended for Steam). I ran the saved file through a base64 encoder (https://www.base64encode.org/ will work) and saved the resulting file.

After that, I opened the Xbox version in the Xbox PC app. I made save files in the same slot(s) that I wished to use and monitored the Xbox PC save folder (see the next section) for changes to verify that it was correct.

Your Xbox save files for each game will be in a folder in C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Packages (AppData is a hidden folder). Look for SystemAppData\wgs for the exact save location once you've identified the game save folder.

In the "wgs" folder, there will be multiple files and folders. There is an index and files for game settings (and I assume a bestiary), Fortunately, each save file's folder has a human readable text file that identifies that save slot. I assume that slots 20-21 are autosave and quicksave.

Take your save file from KiameV's Final Fantasy PR Save Editor, after running it through a Base64 encoder, and rename it to match the other larger file in the folder (not the index file). It will have a long UUID as the filename (make a backup of the old save file first). Start the game and try to load up your save.

I assume that the opposite can be done. You just need to take the save and run it through a Base64 decoder (rather than an encoder) before it can be loaded in KiameV's editor. I have not tried this yet. You probably need to create a Steam save file first to rename it appropriately.

I haven't identified the bestiary data yet, but the rest of the save file seems fine.

You might be able to use https://github.com/Fr33dan/GPSaveConverter to identify the exact save location, but I've not tried.

I'm still experimenting a bit, but can provide more details if anyone is interested.
