sounds like a you problem.

why cant you farm for tidebreaking set ? try to go there and get the echoes. or go to thousand gateaway event and you get the brant's set echo's from the unborn echo boxes.
i also started around carthetiya's banner in the mid.

brant sure needs his sig weapon without that building him will be rough cause his kit is very specific . you can try other weaopns like emerald of genesis that would be decent for him.

for team wise. encore can be good for him .build encore and also pare him up for mortefi . brant,encore,mortefi is a good team

I understand the criticism of the game, but it is not a scam, you got exactly what was on display. its not their fault that you didn't look at what it was you where buying.
do your own research, just like with any purchase.

My guess is, that people like him gave too much trust and credibility on Ed Beach to handle the game's direction. Enough to buy it almost blindfolded. My difference with them is, I never bought into this cult that the "Beach boys" were spreading on the internet, and always kept high skepticism of his persona and his work.

Because, truly. The age system is not the only thing bad about the game. The whole game design is a mess, starting with the removal of workers. Without workers, the game becomes a war game.. because aside exploration, which is only done once, the player only needs the map to position military units on it. Without manual developing of the surroundings, the map becomes just a war map which is useable only on that moment, cities become military training centers to spam fighters. Because its the only type of unit you can play with! The player at this point, doesn't engage with the game map in almost no other way than war, and that's terrible. All for the sake of "less micromanagement", as if the handling of combat units wasn't.

While waiting to start my guide section by section, here’s a quick summary from memory (I don’t have my computer in front of me):

**STARTING PHASE:**
Place 1 granary and 10 woodcutters to make use of your first 10 peasants. Set taxes to -8 and add extra rations for a +4 popularity boost. Then build a few houses (maximum of 6 at the beginning).

**FOOD SECTION:**
Place 1 or 2 apple orchards, 2 hop farms, 1 brewery, and 1 inn.

**BUILDINGS SECTION:**
Place stockpiles (3 is more than enough), 1 fletcher’s workshop (bows), 1 market, 1 armoury, 1 square tower with stairs, and your barracks. If there are quarries/mines, place them too if possible.

**DEFENSE SECTION:**
Buy 10 crossbows and 10 leather armors to recruit 10 crossbowmen, then place them on the tower. Build an engineer’s guild to recruit 2 engineers and place them on top of the tower with a ballista. Add archers from time to time thanks to your fletcher, and you’ll be safe.

As you gradually gather more resources, start producing bread (4–5 wheat farms for 2 mills and 12 bakeries) and increase the number of inns (1 per 30 population, and 1 brewery per 2 inns).
Sell ALL the bread instead of going with double rations.
For taxes, your goal is to adjust them regularly to keep popularity around 55 (for optimization).
Also, replace your apple orchards with dairy farms to begin leather armor production (you can have 8–10 tanners for 1 dairy farm).
