Unfortunately, for debit cards I have a choice of Visa (or, if I change banks entirely, Mastercard), or one that Doesn't Work for any online transactions because it's not hooked up to the payment processor network (which is... mostly controlled by Visa and Mastercard).

For credit cards? Visa, Mastercard, American Express (if you can make electronic payments in a shop here, you can use any of the local banks' debit cards, visa, and mastercard everywhere... American express is a bit iffy... meanwhile, it follows the same line as Visa and Mastercard, you just don't see it as much because less people use it), or a couple of local credit cards which... if they're accepted for online transactions at all, it's only by sellers in my country (not the USA or EU) not internationally.

And Steam just flat out does not give me any other way to pay for things anymore (well, maybe paypal, can't remember, but given their habits of straight up stealing people's money (including in situations where they Know that will cause the death of specific individuals), I don't want anything to do with Them either). Steam gift cards have not been a thing here for years at this point (and last I checked, Steam gives me no way to redeem them even if I somehow got my hands on one), Steam does not accept direct bank transfers (and to my understanding those would go through the same payment processors credit card transactions do anyway, at least if one wanted it to go through immediately rather than waiting anywhere from hours to weeks for the banks to sort themselves out between the point that money left the user's bank account and the point at which it would appear in their steam wallet, though the product being sold would be 'steam currency' rather than 'specific game'). There is no other way for me to buy things on Steam... or online, for that matter.

Frankly, the whole payment processor situation is a disaster that needs breaking and the resulting pieces regulating into the ground (too bad so many Governments have picked this moment to go completely off the rails regarding online privacy and security...)
Note that they're not a monopoly... but also that being a monopoly isn't illegal in most places. Using proscribed methods to attain or maintain a monopoly, and other associated abuses are... but they're actually illegal even without attaining monopoly status (most governments just can't be arsed to put the effort into doing anything about them unless they're close enough to being a monopoly that it might cause the Government problems that they can't pretend would be solved by giving any relevant contracts to the other one instead).

Point of the rant...small, and slightly annoyed. Not a game breaker, just a rant. Hoping to let people rant and hopefully encourage more common courtesy in the future.

Just a heads up, phrases like "its not that deep bro" aren't good. They are commonly used as a defensive mechanism for people who don't want to face issues. The very idea of things not being deep is incorrect. Life is deep. Avoiding that depth isn't going to help in the long run.

I get that its just a small rant. We all do them. However even the smallest rants come from somewhere. The place this comes from is either somewhere deeper within you personally or a part of the game you haven't come to terms with. I am not pretending to be better than you. I and many others have simply let go of this issue. No longer does it affect us if it ever did. We simply surrender when we lose because there's no good reason to stick around. If anything its the polite thing to do unless you can clearly see your opponent is going for a special animated finisher with Ra or something and you want to let them do it because that's cool.

I am not talking down to you. I am hoping you move past being bothered by this.

Put the fog on the lowest setting, game will look much cleaner like that.

Use DLSS on quality mode, it fixes the sh!t anti-aliasing the game has by default as well as boosts the FPS.

Ambient occlusion setting should be on low/medium, since higher looks the same, but eats more frames.

I still hope and wait for a new edition of vinyl records with music from the game. But the toys are also good

It's funny that he isn't harmless just standing there, my car crashed on him by itself burnt to crisp and then it was game over.

I mean the loading screen whiners even tried to use it on Shattered Space, but in their impetuous vociferation, they didn't get the memo that most of Shattered Space was open spaces with very little loading screens. Even the main city is an open city with no loading screens.

Just goes to show, quite a few of the complainers know very little about the subject they are talking about, sometimes they get caught out.
