What can be done is adjusting the error report system. It's been plaguing Neb for way too long, and there *are* fixes aside from letting the player disable the error message. Better error-reporting systems will merely inform you there is at least one error ("Error! Click here to show!" or even merely a red exclamation point) as a toast in an unused part of the screen. From there, the user can open a panel to read out the full error, or merely open up the log file.

Being that most of the time Nebulous errors also don't even indicate which mod is involved, or what component, module, craft, ship, player, or even *team* is producing the error, it's also extremely difficult to figure out who to go talk to.
As such, if I want to test which mod is throwing the error by disabling parts of my list until it works, it'll likely take a few hours. Setting aside the constant restarting of this very-slow-to-load game, I'll also have to play battles repeatedly to see if I can get the same conditions to crop up again.

For instance, one time I got fed up and started tracking down a screen-filling error that would rarely pop up and then block me from playing the game until it decided to stop. The error itself was very technical and barely suggested to me it was an AI issue, that was my only clue; at least I could rule out just testing everything in the firing range, I guess. Finding it took a whole day, only to find it was a single ammunition type that only AI ships threw errors on. That is, despite them loading, aiming, and firing that ammunition type correctly. Normal damage on target and everything. There was no bug, only a message, so I had to replay the same battle over and over, splitting my mod list in half each time to narrow the field.
Really, I've only ever gotten an error message that correlated with a bug in-game... *once.* Usually, the actual bugs with shells doing 0 damage, ships not having correct radar returns, or craft not being able to land don't throw errors, and those have a ton more impact on the player.

So yeah, errors in Neb suck, mostly because of how they're communicated to the player. Not because of the errors themselves, and certainly not because of the mods or the modders.
