I really wanted to try and play this game, but the fact i need to go into my bios first to enable stuff to even start this game, sorry! if this is what EA wants me to do, to play a game, iam out. Back to other FPS games. I get it, but iam not rolling with it.

Honestly? No, I don't buy it.
I'm usually a really calm person when it comes to waiting for something I know will be worth it but this lack of communication from a 2-person indie team that owes their dedicated fanbase everything (tbf.: They absolutely shook the world with Hollow Knight and their amazing free DLC content) is downright aggressively lacking in respect.
They know how much the fanbase is clowning during every Direct/gaming showcase a.s.o. and for years they can't be bothered to even write "we're working on it"? I call BS.

There are 3 scenarios I can think of:

a) Something happened in their personal lives (understandable when the studio is basically only 2 people) BUT some very minor communication could have fixed that.

b) They developed some cringe addiction to seeing the community grovel. I can see this happen very easily - you watch a big Nintendo Direct and people spam the Chat with the title of your indie game? This can easily go to someone's head.

c) It's maybe a little of b + they started to content-creep (meaning the project balooned beyond any reasoning). Perfectionism can be a really dangerous thing. But in this case also: Simple communication would help.
