...and im tired of pretending it wasn't.

ok sure it has some drawbacks and you're probably shouting at the screen reading this but I think reading my thoughts might even change your mind.

1. The maps were the most experimental we've ever seen in TF2.
Aquarium was super interesting, despite it's many flaws. water is never really used much in TF2 maps so it was crazy to have an entire one covered in water. Plus... the giant shark. I'm not usually scared by video games but this feature actually made me a little nervous every time i see it. idk. something about thalassaphobia.

2. Cosmetics
I'd argue the cosmetics were almost one of the top ten updates. Abyss Diver was -- again, keeping with the experimentation theme going -- the most out there by far. Sure, it doesn't fit with TF2, but it's worth like 2 keys and that's a lot. Shoutout to the engie knight theme. Usually you don't associate the technologically-advanced, scientific Texan with the English middle ages (who is essentially useless in Medieval Mode, which is funny to realise), but i think cattleman's kettle is just a great name.

3. Taunt
Okay, I'll admit, Beer Hug and the Trickshot is... less than steller. BUT, Final Score has become THE taunt to enrage people with -- in a good way! 0 is a number every language and culture on earth knows, so this rubs the salt in well. Plus I love the idea of all the mercs canonically carrying around an A3 size of cardboard around with them.

I guess that's it. I've been wracking my brains trying to get this down on paper -- er, screen. This update hit me in the feels for some reason. I remember showing a friend all the new things and she didn't seem that phased, maybe because she's more of a Animal Crossing gamer but hearing her say 'eh' was what made me realise TF2 is not just a game, but a culture in itself and this update focused more on giving back to the OGs of TF2 :')

i noticed this since Starfield when it made me want to check discussion boards then i noticed a massive trend its like this younger generation of kids have no chill ...or ever been beaten by their bullies.
