This is the core issue - a significant amount of players don't want to learn or work for their gear and infrastructure. When they meet a challenge they ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan as loudly as possible instead of trying to overcome it. Unfortunately, Funcom was stupid enough to listen and I was able to farm 1.5k Plastanium in about an hour today with less risk involved than farming Duraluminum.

I wonder how that has worked out for their player numbers? Even after the latest patch the average just keeps on going down. A MAJOR update that catered to a supposed majority not bringing back any players from that supposed majority is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ damning, if you ask me.

Then why do so many people like you ask for changes to the one and only PVP area of the game instead of asking for dedicated PVE servers? Is it because they know Funcom will never deliver PVE servers or because they are bunch of loot goblins that just want things for free?

I know why Funcom isn't making PVE servers - because that would mean A LOT more work for them. A lot of work would need to go into making actual PVE content in addition to the work that is already being done on DLC that seems to be largely PVE. Instead they simply decided to ruin the DD by going from 90% PVP to 50% PVP to 10% PVP to... appease... I honestly don't know who.

Also, I love how every single time I talk to your ilk you assume I am some hardcore PVPer camping Titanium islands 18 hours a day. I'm not. I'm literally just a (mostly) solo rat enjoying resource gathering in a competitive environment, but go ahead. Make those baseless assumptions and build those strawmen.

A lot of you toxic PvPers don't seem to get the point. You guys are complaining that funcom is making the DD more and more PvE friendly, and ruining it.

The DD was the dedicated PVP area in a game that was ~95% PVE otherwise. You are literally complaining that people are getting upset about having their toys broken not once, but twice.

Even the 50% PVE patch completely changed how the DD works. It made PVP bases other than loot shacks entirely obsolete. It increased travel time massively every week because now you need to build in the E-row. It made Crawler operations exponentially less risky.

The current patch made farming Plastanium and fighting over islands in the PVP area completely obsolete. At this point Funcom might as well remove PVP in the DD and just leave it on for labs and wrecks.

Side note, I'm surprised the toxic gatekeepers haven't shown up yet to chastise everyone for just wanting the option (not demanding the change be forced upon all users). I for one have played through the original Dooms more times than I can count. I wish more people could try to grasp that wanting to experiencing an old game, in a fresh way, isn't doing the game a disservice, but is actually paying homage to it (/rant)
