You can extend the life of TD games is allowing users to generate maps and share in Steam workshop. I am willing to work with janky and half finished systems to create them (I learned Unity just to make maps for Ravenfield, the dev offered a plug in with important assets, triggers etc. which helped a lot my coding/maths is terrible but I am quite good at drawing and painting which helps)

I could never make it work for Dungeon Warfare because they had a text editor that I found too difficult to use which is a shame, I would have spent months making maps for that if it had even the most barebones visual editor (or better documentation).

I came here to recommend this too! If we could make our own maps that would massively extend the life of the game, huge bonus if endless mode is possible on any UGC map.

I also think it would be better as an ingame level editor rather than a modding tool. Even if its just giving us a flat dungeon-like area and some prefabs that can be dropped down like the current Tetris blocks to create the map.

ah i see... just a few more questions. to edig .json file do i need a special editor or i can do it with a regular text editor? and can i add my own goverment type to the game, or i can just edit the ingame ones? thanks for the answer
